Ugh! I've never been more bored!

You would think that being a princess I could do whatever I want...THINK WRONG! Here I am in my office with a bunch of papers. Complaints from people all over the country and I have to sort them. From Yes to No to I DON'T CARE! Honestly, this can't be more boring, but my father won't let me do anything else. He won't let me make the decisions, he won't let me see the problems, he won't even let touch his crown(OK the last one probably doesn't sound much, but come on! You would want to too)!

After about two hours later I finally gave up and decided to let my assistants to the rest. It was fairly simple, I mean they did it before me. I decided to go back to my room and read a nice thriller book. I know, I know thriller? But I love the rush it gives me. Just as I was about to dig in when Mia, my maid told me that My dad wants me to attend a council meeting.

UGH! Those meetings are even worst than the complaints. You sit for two hours and listen to people talking about war, and problems that the people can't solve. I mean, can't you solve your own problem? But Mia assured me that this meeting will be very brief. I decided to believe her and got up.

The hallway was never empty and I mean never. You will always find a guard or a maid or a servant. As I walked down the hall guards and maid greeted me and as they passed by and I rolled my eyes. I mean I'm not queen, not yet a least. The hallway was also filled with paintings of royal history. My grandfather and grandmother, my mom and dad and one day Me...If I ever find a husband.

I got to the council room and it was nearly full, except for one seat, mines. "Caterina you're late." Said, my father

"Apologies," I replied. I took my seat and he started. The first ten minutes were updates about economics, I was never interested in the money of our country, so I didn't pay much attention. Then my dad started talking about visitors. At this, I started to pay attention to, when visitors come it's usually a royal family and usually, they have a son and most likely it's a setup for me to get married to someone royal.

"We are trying to get a new alliance with Australia, so the royal family will be staying for some time to discuss military supplies." He Announced. I know subconsciously he's looking at me especially, but everyone seems oblivious.

Audrea lost its Alliance with Australia over 100 years ago because we stupidly decided to steal some of their military bombs. Since they the two countries decided on a truce, but we still hated each other. "That is all. Meeting adjourned." Slowly the members filed out one by one. I was about to walk out before my dad said, "Can I talked to you for a minute, Caterina."

Uh oh. "Yeah, Dad?" I asked.

"Did you know that the king and queen have a son, right?" He said innocently

"I figured."

"So..."

"Don't finish that sentence." I quickly said. He smirked and I gave him a quick kiss and hurried out the door. Luckily my blushed came after. He's always trying to set me up with someone. I don't mind much, but come on! I'm 17 I need some time.

Dinner was as delicious ever. I mean sometimes I think the chefs over do themselves. Like I don't need 10 different types bread while you wait for dinner, right? Not that I'm not grateful or anything, it's just that they're treating me like a princess. Shut up.

For starters, we had foie gras on a bed of couscous with a lemon-herb sauce. Followed by blackened salmon with summer vegetables and for dessert dark chocolate truffles.

I was full before I even touched my plate. As usual, it was just my father and me. My mom has been out of the picture since I was one year old, so I never knew her. Whenever I asked about her my father would just smile and say "Just like her." Like what's that suppose to mean?

I got comfortable in my room and got a book. Romance, ew. I mean it's well written, but I almost fell asleep reading it. I ditched the book and decided to do some research on Australia. Not stalking just, researching.

Turns out Australia has one of the best military bases every. No wonder why dad wanted to make an alliance with them, we only had about 550 people in our military while they had 850. I was surprised on their government system. They started as a monarchy, like us, then later became a constitutional monarchy?

As I read more about them I became more interested. It wasn't until I got a message until I realized the time, 11:30 pm, my father should be asleep by now. I opened my phone to read the message.

You coming tonight or what?
