Chapter 5: The X Power of X Nen

Then the shock came. My body started to heat up, and something started to rush out of me. The feeling of the shock was gone, but my mind was screaming me something as I looked at the fluid like thing coming out of my body.

Stop the flow!

And that is what I started to do. Thinking about the flow of energy that was being released from my body, I started to calm down thinking of the most natural position that I must take, and keep the energy inside of me.

Then looking at my hands, I noticed that the whitish energy flow just barely showed on my body instead of it rushing out like Niagara Falls.

Good job Mikaya, I congratulated myself.

"Next! You are to start learning in the morning. I'm tired and I need to think of ways I'm going to teach you." He scratched the back of his head.

"Ok." I stated.

"And besides you should be getting tired soon as well... This step literally drains the energy out of you." Pun inteaded. You can by the way he was laughing at his own joke.

"Fine. Fine." I replied. He isn't funny.

"I'll see you in the morning. Oh and I'll wash or shirt and return it to you later." I continued to speak. He put his hand up.

"No need. Keep it. You don't have a tank top, and now you do. Thank me later." He stated. I shrugged in a semi agreement. This is a dress not a tank top.

"See you in the morning." He said as he walked passed Kurapika that was silent, and opened the door.

"Wait! Why aren't you jumping out the window like Killua?" I questioned.

"I'm classy, he isn't." He explained as he walked out of the room. Ooooooo SHOTS FIRED! I thought as I looked around noticing Leorio wasn't here.

"Where did Leorio go?" I questioned.

"He left when you were changing. He didn't want to stay here since he was busy in the morning in the hospital. He's a doctor you know?" Kurapika stated.

"As a hunter you can have another job?!" I was bewildered. Being a hunter seems ubër important so I imagine it as a tough job, so thinking that Leorio can be a DOCTOR while a hunter is just, amazing.

"Ya, but people who don't want to be hunters they could still want to take the Hunter x Hunter exam." He said as he walked into the walk in closet and started taking of his shirt, revealing a wonderful six pack. I looked down, feeling my face flush ever so slightly.

"Fun fact, people who take the exam just for the license can sell that license for enough money, they can support themselves comfortably for seven lifetimes over." He stated. Cool, I couldn't help my greedy side as it wanted a taste of that amount of money. Maybe that's how he is paying for this amazing hotel room.

Kurapika took of his tux jacket and laid it on a near by desk chair, and the jumped on the bed faced down. He turned and looked up at me, seeing as he took off his contact lens his eyes glowed a brilliant ruby red.

"I can't help but look at you, see your eyes, and think of the tragedy of our clan." He admittedly stated.

"Tragedy? How? What exactly happened, and who are you to me," I asked bluntly. I wanted answers.

He sat up and looked down, all I could see was his facial structure change into a depressing state. He was under a lot of pain, I could tell.

His eyes brightly shined as he looked into my eyes. ”Our clan was murdered by these infamous troupes and none survived... except me." he looked down and said quietly. "I walked into the torture, I wanted and still want revenge. I was alone, cold, dark, and scared. But... now I see you." He looked up at me and smiled, "You can help me, right?" He asked me. I was still trying to process all of this information. If I helped him kill the people that killed, well, my people, then how will that give me answers? But if I stick around with him... then I can ask all the questions and get my answers.

I need my answers, but more importantly I need my cure.

"S-sure?" I answered and he smiled at me.

"Thanks. You will get all the answers to all your questions." He send me a reassuring smile and then something happened.

His eyes started to glow more vibrant. Similar to mine.
