“I know. And I hate the fact that I’m in the friendzone, AGAIN.”
“Oh come on, Phil. This is so not you. Just take that silly contract and tear it in front of her eyes then ask for her hand.”
“It’s not as simple as it seems, Bella. She really doesn’t want to commit yet. She just broke up with his ex. I don’t want to force her. I can always wait.”
“You’re saying that you’ll wait for her but you were complaining a while ago.”
“I wasn’t. Just saying.”
“I hate you.” She said then crossed her arms.
“What now?”
“You’re planning to wait for her, right? Why did you not wait for me before? You could’ve helped me move on.”
“Why would I wait for someone waiting for someone?”
“Alright, alright. I was joking.” She pouted.
“You’re a horrible joker.”
“Now I really hate you.”
I reached for her head then patted it.
“Oh Bella. How cute you’ve become.”
“Phil... How sure are you that Leeanne’s not waiting for someone else?”
“That, I’m not certain. But one thing’s for sure. If she’s meant to wait for someone, like you do now... Ouch.” She just pinched me.
“I’m not waiting for someone!”
“Okay let me rephrase that. If Faye is meant to wait for someone... I’ll make sure that I’ll be that someone.”
“Oh boy. I didn’t know you’re that determined.”
“Am I? Well. I just don’t want to be a coward like Kevin.”
“Ouch. Felt like you pinched me, too.”
“Just saying.”
“Speaking of the devil... The two seemed like a couple when we were at Kevin’s place. How sure are you that he won’t bite?” She asked, then bit her lip.
“So you’re Ms. Jealous, eh? Pleased to meet you.” I offered my hand.
She took it and replied, “The pleasure is mine, Mr. Jealous.” We shaked hands.
“Oh. We have the same surname.”
“No. We’re playing the same game.”
“I know what you’re thinking.”
“No you don’t. I have no plans of getting in between you guys. I’m cool.”
“Good for you then. I don’t desire an animal roaming around you anyway.”
“So... are you gonna push it?”
“Absolutely.”
“I’ll be at your back.”
“Let’s drink to that.”
