Michael's family had just bought a puppy from an animal shelter when the incident had unfolded. They were on their way to the Petsmart next to the corner store on S Quintero st. His father, Chris, had been oddly tired in the shelter so Micheal's mother drove to the pet store. When the family got there they were confronted by a seemingly homeless man and were asked for spare change. When Chris said "We don't have any, sorry" he was shot at point blank. Micheal's mother screamed and was told by the homeless man to give him all her money. When she refused the man shot her in the shoulder and was told again to "hand over the money". She did as told and was shot in the head, her blood spraying Micheal. The man shot the puppy in the head, with there being a short wince and the splatter of skull and blood on the window it was in front of. Micheal screamed louder than he ever had before, right after he felt a sharp pain on the back of his head and fell to the ground.
(One day later at the hospital) Micheal woke up and......
