let me begin by saying that I'm not at this party by my own actions. I was unwillingly dragged and abandoned here.

it was you're typical, friend brings you to party, friend leaves you at party to go make out with random boy, you are now left alone at party

well that's the situation I'm currently in

and it sucks

I'm literally just sitting on this stupid couch while everyone around me are being idiots, doing whatever it is teens do at these sort of things..

but I'm not the most social person in the world so anything's better than having to actually converse.

So I'm sick on a couch in this dark corner of a room, with a couple lazily making out next to me

Seriously, get a room people

I rolled my brown eyes and sighed lowly

"Why do I have to be here" I complained aloud

"That's the same thing I'm asking myself" I heard a voice reply behind me

I turned around to see a guy around my age or so, with a lean figure, light brown shaggy hair that barley touched his brown eyes, and overall a well put together exterior

"So, I'm going to guess your not really enjoying the party?" He chuckled lightly and made his way to sit next to me

"Not really no" I said nonchalantly, talking as less as possible to hopefully not make an idiot of myself..

"So how'd you end up here?" He quizzed, giving me a very lost puppy like look

"Oh you know the usual.. my friend kinda dipped on me" I said, turning myself to face him on the couch

"Haha, yep that happens to me too.." he murmured.

He had a very prominent accent and it was very easy to get lost on his voice, it was enchanting.

"I'm y/n by the way" I said, shooting him a friendly smile

He took a breath to reply but I never got to hear what he said because he was cut off by some girl with a microphone

"Okay guys! We're opening up karaoke! Winner gets a hundred dollars! Come up now!" She yelled, blowing out practically everyone's ear drums

With everyone's haste to move we got shoved off the couch and away from one another, i didn't get his name so hopefully I'd find him again and be able to talk to him

I made my way to the back room to get a good view of what was happening

I'll spare you the long explanation of rules, but lost story short you sing, you hopefully do well, you win.

I decided to participate even though I'm "socially challenged" so to speak

I guess I just wanted to step out of my comfort zone and try something new, and even though it was stressful at first it ended up not being so bad

I sang one of my favorite songs, only half heartedly trying as I've never really had the best voice

After I finished I watched as everyone else went up on stage.

some were better than others and some plain trash at singing, but I don't judge

Then he came up, the guy from before

Immediately I perked up at seeing this, and my friend, who eventually found me in the crowd, shot me a questioning glance but I ignored it and watched him go up on stage

I could've sworn I saw him wink at me, but it could've just been my imagination

He sang a Panic! At the disco song, one of my personal favorite bands

(If you don't like p!atd then I suggest changing the song)

And let me tell you, he sang like an angel. He was absolutely incredible. His voice was just- Agghh!

'Dang, this boy is cute, charming and he can sing? What can't he do..' I mentally chuckled to myself

'he must be Prince Charming' I thought, he definitely looked like he could be

When he finished he came up to me

"Oli" he said simply

"What?" I asked, not realizing what he was saying

"My name, its Oli"
