Joseph had them go thru an entire show! He was like a drill sergeant, barking orders and changes, poor fellas, they were sweating and breathing hard. They take a break while Joseph talks to some guy, I watch as the other brothers wives and girls tend to them but poor Michael sits alone, I walk over to him with a bottle of water, "Here." holding it out to him, he looks up at me and takes it and nods thanks, he drinks as the sweat rolls down his neck to his chest, I swallow softly (screaming on the inside). "So most of your brothers are married, huh?" "Yeah, and kids, Randy has a flavor of the week, I'm got other interests." "Yeah my big brothers are twins and got girls but they are overprotective because I'm the baby, I had one boyfriend but they made him leave me alone, he was no good." Michael nods, Joseph calls them back and they rehearse, Michael sings She Out of My Life, and I'm just mesmerized.
They finish up and start heading for home, "Nice to meet you Angel!!" says the brothers and their ladies as they leave. Now it's just me and Michael, I help him gather his things and we go out to the car and get in, "Mikey my boy what you say about it?" asks Bill, Michael smiles, "Long process Bill." Bill nods, "Wouldn't be right if it wasn't, and did you enjoy the fun, young madam?" I smile, "Yes, I did, thanks." we ride on. We arrive back to Hayvenhurst and its late, we get out the car and it drives off we walk inside and there's a note on the counter with my name on it. I pick up and read it as Michael drinks juice, I gasp softly as I read it, "You ok?" he asks "Uh huh, Big Mama just says that she set up a room in the guest house cuz she figured we'd come back late, gotta love her!" I laugh and he smiles then we head to the guest house thru the lit pathway.
We arrive to the guest house, we stand at the door,it's so quiet, I notice Michael with his hands in his pockets kicking the ground softly with his toe. "Well, um, I guess I'll say goodnight, be safe walking back to the house." He nods and we hug and I kiss his cheek, he blushes and says "Goodnight." and walks away, I watch from the window til he disappears around the corner. I look in the dresser there are t-shirts, socks, underwear and pants, I shower and put on a big T-shirt and socks then climb into the big bed and lay there staring at the ceiling til I fell asleep. I began to dream I was in a field of flowers and soft grass, in this yellow flower dress, I heard somebody calling my name, "Annggeelll?" I look around and I see a figure running towards me calling me. As the figure gets closer, I notice that it's Michael, "Michael, what are you doing here and what's going on?" He looks into my eyes and suddenly he kisses me deeply, I wrap my arms around him and we continue kissing, his hands caressing my body through the dress. Suddenly the scene changes and where on a cloud, making out heavy, he's on top of me, just as be was about to say something, I wake up to a knock at the door. I look around as I gather myself and breathe, I get up and go to the door and open it, it's Big Mama. "Hey Angelbaby, you coming to the big house for breakfast?" " Yes ma'am, just let me get dressed and I'll be there in a minute." I say she looks at me and smiles the leaves, I run to the shower, drown under the hot water, dressed in a Mickey Mouse shirt and jeans with my hair in a ponytail, I walk to the big house.
I arrive and enter the kitchen 2 see Mrs. Katherine sitting with Randy, Janet and Joseph, I sit next to Janet, "Good morning everyone." I say "Good Morning!" says Janet, Randy and Mrs. Katherine but Joseph just grunts and flips through the paper, Michael enters "Morning." and sits next to me, his leg rubs against mine and I get goosebumps, Big Mama serves us a breakfast that consists of eggs, grits, toast, sausage, bacon, fruit, orange juice, milk and coffee. We began to eat quiet, the dream is replaying in my mind, I'm brought out of it by Joseph's voice talking to Michael, " I hope you got the music ready for your album and Janet's album cuz it's time to start recording, no more playing around, get it done, you hear me boy?" Michael nods and suddenly runs off quickly, Mrs. Katherine gasps, I get up and go after him, I find him in the bathroom down the hall, throwing up, shaking, I wet a towel and place it on the back of his neck as he breathes. I rub his back, he say muffled "I'm fine, mother, I'm ok." I smile and say " I'll be sure to tell her." He jumps and looks at me embarrassed, we stared at each others for a minute, I grab the wet towel and wipe his face gently, " Don't be embarrassed, it's ok." He sighs and shakes his head, " He makes me get like this, every time." "who, Joseph?" I asks he nods then and there I knew he was deathly afraid of him. We sit there for a bit then we get up and go back to the kitchen to find all gone except for Big Mama and Mrs. Katherine, "You alright, son? she asks " Yes mother, I'm fine." She nods, "Angelbaby, we have 2 get you home so you can get ready for work, cmon." says Big Mama "Ok, well goodbye Mrs. Katherine." I hug her then turn to Michael, "Goodbye Michael." we hug and I feel the sparks "Goodbye Angel and thanks." we let go and Big Mama and I leave.
