Michael C.

I stared at management with tears in my eyes. "What do you mean break up with Luke?" I whispered. Me and Luke had been together since we were thirteen, and we were twenty one and twenty two now. They were asking me to leave my true love or they would throw the band away.

I felt tears prickle in my eyes as I stared at four men who I called management. I knew it wasn't fair, but I couldn't let the boys all go through the heartache of loosing our dream. I sucked in a deep breath, nodding and picking up a pen to sign the contract.

"Where do I sign?"

I got out of the meeting and headed back to the fivesauce house where we all lived. I was picking up Crystal, my beard, on the way to the house, to introduce her to the boys. This was going to be hard on all of us, but I had to play the part.

I pulled up at the small suburban home the girl lived in and sent her a message. After reading it, she bounced out in ripped jeans and a pink cropped t-shirt.

She hopped in and extended her hand my way. "Hi, I'm Crystal, your Michael, right?" I looked at her hand before focusing on the road ahead of us.

I pulled up at the fivesauce house, stepping out of my car, starting the walk to the porch. Once Crystal reached the porch, I linked my hand into hers and sighed. "Let me do the talking." I whispered.

I opened the door, only to hear Luke's giggling. I wanted nothing more than to kiss him at the moment but I couldn't. I walked in the house, shutting the door behind me and Crystal.

I made no effort to announce my presence because I didn't want to hurt Luke, at all. The worst part was I knew I had too. I sighed, hearing Calum announce that I was home and seconds later, I heard running.

A few seconds later, Luke appeared in my vision. "Mikey!" He yelled, starting to jump in my arms until his eyes focused on mine and Crystal's hands. My heart broke at his expression. "Huh?" He looked confused.

I knew I had to spit it out but I didn't want to. "Do you want some privacy, babe?" Crystal asked, pretending to be sympathetic.

"B-babe?" Luke repeated, his smiling faltering completely.

In a way, it pissed me off, but I nodded and released her hand as she walked on the front porch.

"Luke," I whispered softly. "We have to talk." I finally looked up at him and I saw tears in his eyes. "There's so many things we have to talk about." I mumbled.

Luke stared at me, waiting as tears filled his ocean blue eyes.

"Maybe we should go somewhere private.." I suggested, making Luke shake his head.

"Whatever you say, you can say it right here then we can go cuddle." He smiled, making my heart ache.

"No, we can't Luke, not anymore." I whispered, looking at my shoes, not daring to look at Luke.

"What are you talking about, of course we can, silly." He giggled, making a tear slide down my cheek.

"Mikey?" I heard his voice drop, all happiness wasted away in a moment. I knew I had to tell him, but I desperately wanted to kiss him as well.

"Luke, we can't do that anymore. Matter of fact, there is no "we" anymore." I tried to sound harsh but my voice cracked.

"Y-you can't be saying what I think y-you are." He hiccupped.

My heart snapped in half if it hadn't already. "I'm sorry Luk-"

"No!" He screamed, looking straight into my eyes, lifting my chin up. "You are not leaving me. You promised me."

"Yeah, well promises can be broken." I mumbled, keeping my eyes fixed on my shoes. I knew if I looked up at him, I'd never leave.

"You promised!" He yelled, louder this time. "You said you loved me!" He sobbed, causing the attention of Ashton and Calum. "Who is she?" He screamed, looking at me, begging for an answer.

"She's my girlfriend." The lie felt vile on my tongue, I wanted to blurt the truth right there but that would mean the end of 5 seconds of summer.

"You're lying." He begged, staring me straight down. I looked away, holding all of my tears inside.

"I'm not."

"Yes you are, your my Michael. Forever and always, remember?" He yelled, making my eyes sting with more tears.

"It's over, Luke!" I screamed, finally looking up at him. "I cheated, I've been with her for a month now and I finally worked up the courage to leave you!" I screamed as tears flashed down my cheeks. I stared at the boy who looked incredibly heart broken.

He took one last look at me before bolting up the stairs. I turned to see Ashton and Calum's angry stares. I turned away and walked out of the door. I was met with a smiling Crystal who beamed at me. "How'd it go?" She asked.

I rolled my eyes, getting in the car and waited on her. "I'm taking you home so I can cry in peace." I murmured before putting the car in reverse.
