Doors open so quickly and within seconds of not acting, it closes right before your eyes, then your head gets bumped by the harsh hit of the closing door and you end up sprawled out on the floor. That was the exact sight before. The guy bringing a tray of food to the waiting customers was now getting dirty eyes from the persons who watched from their seats as he sat there in the mess he created. I on the other hand was sitting at one of the single tables a few feet away from the door. It gave me a perfect view of what was happening inside the walls of the place and an even greater view of what was taking place beyond the thick sheets of glass that separated me from the outside.

My eyes travelled over to the cup that was placed before me not too long ago, finally recognising the steam that escapes from my coffee. It left a familiar yet a not so familiar scent in the air. Never have I ever thought that I'd be wasting my money on coffee that I know I wouldn't like, yet here I am staring the cup that I'm not too fascinated to try knowing too well that i have to pay the bill before I leave. It's not that i don't like coffee, don't get me wrong, it's just that this flavour isn't the best there is.

I glimpse at the tiny pages of the book i placed on the table a moment ago and once more read the unforgettable instructions that Alicia had wrote down ensuring hat i don't miss any of her steps.

Step 1: ORDER MY FAVOURITE COFFEE

I roll my eyes at the thought of her writing this down and putting it in bold to be exact. She knew my bad stories of the times i tried to make coffee myself and she made it her duty to remind me of it up to this day.

Step 2: Add 2 teaspoon sugar and crème to sweeten.

Step 3: Drink every bite of it and enjoy of course 😊

I did step1 and 2 just as she instructed and only seconds later she

answered my skype call with a mischievous grin on her face.

"Sooo?"

"Soooo?"

"Did you get it?"

"Yes yes its right here."

"Good." She responds with an even wider grin, "but how do I know it's really caramel macchiato?"

"Look I'm not trying to cheat my way through this, honestly it is caramel macchiato."

"Well call that guy over just to verify, he's behind you."

"No way Alicia I don't think he wants me to disturb him."

"I think otherwise. He's been staring at you since forever. Come on just call him over it won't take long."

I didn't even respond to her comment but as if on cue I found myself leaving my chair to get over to the guys table. He stood there seeming awfully consumed by the book he was reading or maybe not so consumed at all. I've known too many guys to let this seemingly subtle act not undergo any scrutiny.

Not to stray from the point but this could be his way of catching some girl by sitting there trying to look intrigued by a novel he probably isn't reading.

I could be wrong though, Summer Set is a really good book. I know this cause I've read it a couple times.

"Ah excuse me." I spoke standing at the opposite end of his table waving my hands towards him."

"Excuse me!"

He sat there, still, eyes fixated upon his book and eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
