Normally this run-down town Mard of Ukesa, supposedly the most amazing place in the empire, is only inhabited by the poor who have nothing special about them. Well, that's only from the people who have entered my tiny bakery.

A young lady who's wearing a torn and stained dress walks into my bakery strongly holding onto a small satchel.

"Uh-uh hello? Can I pl-please purchase a lo-loaf of br-bread?" The lady asked.

I start packaging the bread as the lady starts fumbling for the coins in her satchel. The lady pays for the bread and leaves. That was the most conversation that would happen between a customer. Normally, the customer would stagger in and point towards what they wanted and so on. She was probably the healthiest I'd ever seen come in.

Once the sun goes down, I close up shop and get prepared for the night. I wander over to the small room I call my home and get dressed into my "nightgown" which is just another dress I own that has softer fabric. Dinner is normally something I love but tonight I just didn't feel it, at least I'll save some food. I decided that sleep would be the best for me so I did.

When I woke up early in the morning I went straight to baking with my small kitchen and oven. I hear a knock at the door and go check to see who it is, it thankfully was my daily delivery of milk and eggs and not some burglar. Only burglars are the ones awake at this time of day.

Customers go and go through out the day just the usual until a young girl around my age comes into the store. Something about her was off but I couldn't put my finger on it, she had curly hair as black as coal with gold streaks in it. But the thing that caught my attention the most was her eyes, there was just something unique about them.

She walked up to the counter and slid me a note and walked around the store. She had black leather boots and a torn cape with little beads on the end. After looking around for a bit without saying a word and then headed towards the door.

"Excuse me, did you need anything?" I asked

All she did was indicate towards the note and left the bakery. Hours passed and I my curiosity was getting the better of me so I finally opened the note. It read;

My dearest condolences to the owner of this bakery,

I am in grave danger and need your help. If you are able to help please meet me at the old abandoned wishing well on the outskirts of the town.

Sincerely, Elaina.
