-Josh's POV-
"Thank you." I said into my microphone to the crowd, before I joined the rest of the band for the final bow before we went backstage.
I stood on the right of Mike and Matt stood to my right. Ian came and stood the left of Mike. I took Matt and Mike's hands and Ian took Mike's other hand and we bowed to the crowd until the platform we stood on started to lower us underneath the stage.
We stood waving to the fans as we lowered, I put my hands together in a heart shape towards the fans just before the fans left my sight as we got lower and disappeared backstage.
"That's what it is all about boys. That was KILLER!" I screamed the last part. As we walked off the platform and started to walk towards the band dressing room.
"Yeah it is. Remember to enjoy this while we have it, we might not always have this." Mike said, he always made sure to remind us to keep us grounded.
"I wouldn't have it any other way" matt smiled, as he opened the dressing room door and walked through into the room. We all followed behind him
"That was awesome boys, now bring it in boys" Ian opened his arms towards us and we all joined together in a group hug.
I heard my phone ring. I pulled away from the hug and grabbed my phone.
I looked at my screen and saw Sara's name across the screen, telling me my sister was phoning me. I swiped my finger across the screen and accepted the call.
"Hey sis, what's up?"
I wonder why she is phoning me so close to us coming off stage, she knows we have a gig tonight.
"Josh, are you sitting down and with anyone?" Sara asked, she sounded like she was going to cry. I started to get worried.
I sat down on the coach in the dressing room.
"Now I'm sitting and yeah I'm with the guys. Why?"
"Josh, I'm sorry. Its mum. She has...she has Lewy body dementia." Sara sobbed.
I froze. No she can't, not mum. It can't be true. I know it runs in my family but mum can't have it. Not my precious mother.
"Josh? Are you okay baby bro?" Sara asked, her voice shaking half with crying and half with worry.
"I don't know. I'll talk to you later Sara." I said, to calmly, ending the call.
Why aren't I crying? What is wrong with me?
"Josh? Is everything alright?" Matt asked, getting that concerned look he always has for me on his face. The look I have always hated. It takes me back to my past troubles.
"No." I simply replied.
"It's not fair! IT'S NOT FAIR!" I shouted at no one in particular.
I threw my phone against the wall then ran out of the room. I don't care if it's broken.
"JOSH!" I heard the guys shout behind me and footsteps following me.
I ran down the corridor and around the corner before I had to stop. I couldn't see clearly through my tears any more. Looks like it has hit me now and sunk in. I covered my eyes with my hands and crouched forward, beginning to sob into my hands.
