General Armstrong sat in a chair. Ed and I sat down in a couple of chairs as well.

"Well now. From what I hear, you three are close to my brother Alex. Is he doing alright?" She asks.
"Uh. Yeah!" Ed said.
"The big strong guy we know and love!" Al said.
"Who sparkles like the midst of day!" I said.
"Alex is doing just great!" We all said.

She then gives us the look of a bear. Ed, Al, and I are confused.

"No matter. Never mind him. Tell me why you'd bypass the Command Center to meet me. I want to know it all. Including why your armors empty." She explains.
"Actually that's something we don't like to talk about." Ed said.
"There's no reason to worry. Folks around here have plenty they wanna hide. Everybody up North has something he or she doesn't like to talk about." The nurse said.

Ed then gave a worried look.

"If this information reaches certain ears, I could be Court Martialed." Ed said.
"Even I have secrets like that!" Olivier said.

We then whisper that we should only tell her about the human transmutation. I told them not to tell her about my power.

"What are you whispering about?! Start talking now!" She screams.

*later*

We told her about everything having to do with the transmutation. And we told her about the little girl. She thinks we're wretches. She thinks we cause trouble. She wants us to leave. But she lets us stay.

"Major Miles! Put them to work. A man who doesn't work has no right to eat. And the girl will work here with the nurse." She announces.
"You've got a point there." We all say.

We all go our separate paths.

"So. (y/n) right?" The nurse asks.
"Yeah. That's my name." I replied.
"Why would you commit the taboo?"
"Because I wanted to see my mother again. My parents were killed by a fire. I made it out."

She looks at me with pity.

"I can understand that." She said.

I helped her out with the nurse tools. I cleaned up the room.

"How is this looking so far." I asked.
"Clean. Here for your hard work." She said while handing me coffee.
"Here is your 100 cens. Before you ask again."

I handed her the coin.

"Wow. You're a fast learner. That's impressive." She says.
"Yeah. You wanna show me around?" I asked.
"Sure. As you know this is the infirmary. We use this room to treat wounded soldiers. We all act as one. If one of us dies. We are too weak."

We then exit the room. She leads me into an elevator. We go down many floors. Once the doors are open, I'm welcome by a blast of heat.

"This is where all of Briggs life comes. It's the source that keeps us from freezing to death." The nurse says.

I then see the Elrics. I wave at them. Ed waves back. I then hear the ground shaking. Someone goes to a pipe, then announces something is underground. A hole is broken through. And we see a homunculus.

"Holy shit!" I yell.
"Impossible!" Ed screams.

I run down to Ed and Al. We mumble it's a homunculus. It then fell asleep.

"YOURE SLEEPING?!" We scream.

I look at Ed. Then at the Homunculus.

"I bet the one you call Father told you about us." I said.
"But we are only getting our bodies back!" Al said.
"Why would I care?" It asks.

Then Buccaneer shot at us.

"As I thought. You are spies." He said.
"No we are not!" Ed screamed.

We then got into a fight about it. Then it attacks us. We blocked. Then some men were about to get crushed, but I clapped my hands and saved them using alchemy. Armstrong then shot him with a grenade.

"He won't die!" I scream.
"What?" She asked.

She then gets angry.

"That's it. I want you both to answer my questions fully and completely! Now are you both spies?" She asks.
"No we are not." Ed speaks up for me.
"Is that thing a spy?"
"I highly doubt it."
"What is that thing?"
"We can't answer."
"Who does that thing work for?"
"We can't answer."

I look at Ed sadly.

"What does it want?" She asks.
"We can't answer." Ed replies.
"Are you on our side or theirs?"
"I don't want anyone here to get hurt."
"What's it made of?"
"I think it's the composition is same as a humans."
"The same as a humans."

She then orders for tank fuel. She is going to douse it?

"Now you get to see the Briggs way kids." She said.
