And one night, I realized; nothing is ever still,
Because even in the darkness engulfing me,
And even in the serene sound of nothingness,
There was still the shattered twinkle of the broken street lamp outside my window,
And there was still the rich, melodic sound of the wind whispering to the trees,
And there was still the steady pulse of my heart drumming in my chest,
And there was me, observing it all, and seeing that no matter how time seems to stop, it goes on, even as we sleep,
So instead of trying to push time away, we need to savor every bittersweet second we have,
For an hourglass is only capable of bearing the weight of the time it is given, just as we are only capable of bearing the weight of the time that is given to us.
