Modicte - Book 1

Subara

"You have to be kidding me! You didn't get Halo to be my husband? What am I going to tell Father now?" The shadow knights shrugged. "Lady Subara, daughter of Sir Alptraum, ruler of the Dark Islands... We shall go again, and force Halo to arrive at the castle." Subara retorted, "There is no time to waste! I must please my father!"

The knights sped off on their horses, while Subara was crying in her chamber. Her mascara was rolling off her eyes, as she pleaded for help. When the knights got to the shore of the dark island, their horses grew huge dragon wings and horns, and the flew off to the sky. "Who is entering the sky of Halo, the most powerful mage in all of Modicte!" The maid rushed over the the golden windowsill, and looked down at the Dark Islands. "Dark Knights." The maid sighed, "Halo, when will you stop acting like a fool, and stop sitting on that throne, speaking about your powers? You need to become a mortal. For once!" Halo pushed the maid out of the throne room, and she lost her balance in the hallway. She fell out of the sky, as she saw someone save her. "Princess, are you all right?" Someone told her. "What? Me, princess? Who is this?" Mei looked up, and saw a shadow knight grabbed her after her fall. "AAA!" Mei screamed, "You... Dark Island!" The shadow knight admitted, "Well, us knights... Sometimes we just can't stand to see a maiden like yourself die."

Subara finally calmed herself, right as a shadow knight was walking in. "Lady Subara-" Subara cuts him off, "Please stop the royal intro, just state your problem. "Ah, yes Subara. Your father wants to in his throne room, to discuss your punishment for not bringing Halo to his castle on time." Subara steps on his foot hard, and the armor on his foot shatters. "Tell him that I sent patrols out right now to get Halo, and I will call them back if he punishes me!" The shadow knight grunts, "Subara, You know your father is listening right now... Only you can hear him... What is he saying dear?" "Why would I tell you?" "NOW!" Subara punches him in the chest, and his chestplate shatters. "Goodbye." Subara shuts her chamber door, and locks it tight. "Oh geez, boy will i get a punishment."
