Leila, a 13 year old girl who lives near the beach of Caramoan island. She oftentimes go to the white sand beach whenever she felt lonely, anxious, sick and even happy. She talks to the sand, the peebles and even to the gentle waves that kisses the white sand. She talks about her feelings over something or someone as if they are listening and having conversation with her. Her neighbors thinks that she has the so called loosened screw in their village which means she has lost her sanity already. But only her and her mother knows that it isn't true. She happened to have rare aquaintances and having no friends in the village. Villagers even think that she is not just an insane kid but an introverted who just wanted to talk to herself rather than talking to others. That is how Leila is being described based on the eyes of her neighbours. Her mother doesn't want to talk about her whenever she is being asked by them. Leila tried her best to help her mother in the day to day chores whenever there is no classes. They oftentimes talk to each other that only them can understand each other. Leila is a grade 4 student of their community school in the village. She quietly finish everyday classes ang go home alone. She doesn't even have closed friend at school.
One day she needed to have the assignment copied in the blackboard but the others erased it all. Leila looses temper but she tried to hold onto it when a certain classmate of her provoked her by not letting her passed the hallway.
