How I Saved You

Chapter 1

Peter's POV

As the sound of my web breaking rang in my ears, the fear of losing my beautiful Gwen grew more and more. I raced down after her watching as her golden hair flapped in the wind, as soon as I could I reached out my hand and shot another web in the vain hope to save her.

From that point on everything sped up as my senses began to relax knowing that I had saved her, I fell down to see how Gwen was. But yet again I was struck with fear as I saw her limp body hanging from my web.

I lifted Gwen up and unhooked her from my web slowly cradling her in my arms, my mind didn't know what to say other then "stay with me". Seeing the love of my life in my arms, but life-less broke my heart and in that moment I thought to myself that this would be the end for her.

she had always told me that she loved Peter Parker more them Spider-Man, but knowing that she could die having Spider-Man being the last person she saw was not something I wanted to happen.

But in that moment of thought I remembered something that I had been working on, something to keep my Gwen alive if anything like this was to happen to her. I gently put her on my back and securely webbed her to my body. I grabbed my mask and pulled it over my head making sure to be careful of Gwen.

Shooting a web to the highest point of the clock tower I began to make the steady climb to the top, passing all of the broken railings that reminded me of the events that had just happened. I managed to find a hole in one of the towers many clock faces and climbed through.

I perched on the edge of the clock tower thinking of the direction that I needed to go. In that moment I heard a small quiet cough come from Gwen making me turn to make sure she was okay, I then realised where I was on the clock tower. It had been the spot that I took Gwen the night she helped me with the cuts on my chest and I asked her if we could go somewhere.

I smiled at the memory of us being so young together and how I placed loads of candles to make it cosy and romantic so Gwen would be impressed with me. The lengths that I will go for this woman unreal but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Shaking away those happy memories I shot webs from building to building making my way to a place only one person other then me knew about.

A/N Hi! This is the first chapter, I hope you enjoyed it. ik that it is short but i wanted to make this sort or a introduction into the story. I will try and update as soon as i can and will hopefully do a new one at least one a week.
