Another year. Another class. New people. New names to memorize. What a pain. If it wasn't bad enough to separate you from your best friend.
One of the few empty desks was located by the window. That's what you get for not being able to get here earlier, the seats in the last row were already taken.
Time for introductions. Do not bother, not many people will be able to remember your name. Not that you will remember theirs. Maybe two or three. There are of course people like Oikawa Tooru or Iwaizumi Hajime. Volleyball stars. So add two names to your list.
Those who would take a closer look at your face right now would call you Ms.Grumpy. Good that your face cannot be seen because of your hair.
Do you think I'm always this grumpy? Nope. Imagine that the person who you have crush on is in the same class as you. You wanted to look stunning, but that day yor straightener broke, you lost your mascara and from the lack of sleep you look like a damn raccoon. That would explain it. Need to ask Saki to cover it with make-up.
I na few minutes, the bell will ring. The lesson has started. I couldn't focuse at all. My whole attention was on my teacher's bald head. The sun was shining just in the middle of his head so hard, that I could fry an egg on it.
Finally, the class is over. I quickly stood up and made my way to Saki's class. "Class 1..." Ah, there it is. I scanned the room and found my best friend chatting with Hanamaki and Matsukawa. They were in our class the year before and they were both in volleball club.
Saki noticed me and waved. I took an empty chair and sat next to her."Yo."
"Sup raccoon girl." Saki greeted. I immediately glared at her. "Chill, it was a joke. A joke!" From the corner of my eye,I could see the two boys snickering.
"How's your homeroom teacher?" I decided to start a conversation.
"A nice man...uh, I mean ma'am." I snorted.
"You mean miss Suzuki?" She nodded in response.
"How about your teacher?" Matsukawa asked. Just remembering this guy caused uncotrollable laughter. They waited for me to stop.
"If the sun shone harder, I could make a BBQ on his head." The whole class stared at us: four idiots, who were practically rolling on the floor laughing.
Oh, come on. I'm not that mean. I just have a great sense of humor. I like to joke around. I mean, who doesn't?
For the rest of our break I chatted with Saki, Matsukawa and Hanamaki. I barely made it to the next class on time. Two hours of math. I would love to have History or Japanese instead.
At the end of the day, I was dead beat. I miss holidays...
