Movie nights were something Mar'i and Jon started doing with in recent months. They had one every Saturday at the apartment Mar'i lived in alongside her father with tons of snacks and nothing of the horror or thriller genre allowed. This was something that Damian himself wasn't too thrilled about. He personally loved the horror and Thriller genres, but once again, it was the alien's votes over his. And because of this, it was no surprise that he somehow found himself watching The Little Mermaid with the two 'children' he considered to be some of his closest friends. Currently Mar'i was getting the movie started and Jon was readying the popcorn.

After A couple of minutes, the two alien hybrids had returned to the couch. Jon sat down with a large bowl of popcorn besides Damian while Mar'i had found a way to wiggle her way in between the two boys. All three of them had preferred for her to be in the middle, anyway. She was extremely warm, so both Damian and Jon had liked to share her for that reason. Meanwhile, Mar'i just enjoyed being cuddled by the duo when ever either of them got cold, which was surprisingly quite often.

Only seconds later, the movie began. Seagulls and Dolphins started the film, along with a handsome young prince and the debate over whether the existence of mermaids was fact or fiction. Damian was rather unamused with this. Mar'i and Jon were enjoying it, though. And then all of a sudden, they were assaulted with bright colors and merpeople. And then singing. The singing alone was a turn off for him, but here he was. Trapped by Mar'i and playing with Jon's hair. He couldn't believe he actually felt like he was enjoying this, which really, he was. He was just telling himself to be stubborn at this point.
As the movie carried on, both him and Jon couldn't help but think how much the stubborn young mermaid on screen reminded them of Mar'i, but of course, she protested against their arguments under the claims this movie closer resembles her mother's life more than anything else. This was something both of the boys couldn't effectively disagree with. After all, the movie was centered around a young princess from another world falling in love with a dorky, charismatic noirette she had just met after saving. It did make sense... especially after Mar'i had explain that the sequel featured a character that was eerily like herself.
By the time 'Kiss the Girl' had come on screen, all three of the young heroes were cuddled up against each other. Jon had his head in Mar'i's lap, while Damian had been lazily leaning against the girl as he held one of Jon's hands. Both of the boys had found a way to kiss Mar'i's cheeks by the end of the song, which was definitely not something the princess could complain about.
Towards the end of the film, all three had changed positions. Jon had somehow found his way into the center as Mar'i laid against him. Her arms was tangled with his as she rested her head on his shoulder and slept happily. Meanwhile, the brooding bat had found himself sleeping with his head in the lap of the kryptonian boy. Jon had also been asleep, with an arm draped over both of the bats on either side of him. They were all fairly content. That was... until Dick got home. Upon seeing the trio, he felt two things at once. One thing was his heart melting from the sight. The other, was the nagging over protective side that made him want to make both of the boys besides his daughter leave. So, he had just decided to take a quick picture then wake up the boys to make them leave. Has he snapped the photo with his phone, the sound of the flash going off had waken all but Mar'i. Damian was aggressively flustered after realizing what had been done, so he left immediately. Jon had just thanked Dick for having him over, wished Mar'i a good night, then I'm left alongside Damian as he impatiently waited in the doorway for the kryptonian hybrid. The duo then left, and in result Dick threw a blanket over his daughter as returned to his room. There he sent the photo he had just taken to both Clark and Bruce, a caption under that read 'our kids are so cute'.
