NEWT SCAMANDER had bad anxiety, therefore his social skills weren't necessarily the best. he often just hid in his oversized school jumper and a book about magical creatures and continue his very unsocial life. majority of the school only knew his name because of his successful older brother, who had his entire life planned out before him. he was pressured by the overwhelming life his brother had to either overthink or underthink everything he does, thus resulting his anxiety.
ARTIS ROXFORD had severe depression, always thinking about life so deeply, he'd concluded that it was meaningless to even do anything since the big world around them was just a small speck in the infinite space out there. even if he given up on life long ago, he still have the unknown motivation to continue to have good grades in all his classes and not disappoint his parents, as he usually did.
NEWT SCAMANDER had a love for magical creatures, having the burning passion to find more about them since he was a young child. he always paid attention in his care for magical creatures class but it seemed as if everyone wanted them to die. the thirst to prove them all wrong hung over newt's head as he read every single book he could find in his school library to learn about all of them.
ARTIS ROXFORD had a dirty little secret, one he feared would make him end his entire life. he kept it hidden from others since discrimination was surrounding him for a long time. every time he looked at the same gender, he felt the rushing passion go through his veins and make him unable to probably speak. "mute boy" as they called him. artis couldn't bring himself to speak up to himself until one boy told everyone to stop.
NEWT SCAMANDER didn't want anyone to feel the same pain as he did.
