"Lla su evas ot nruter lliw uoy, rehtona ro emitefil eno ni."
"Umm, Miss Moon I don't think I can decipher this, considering it seems to be in a language unknown to me, to anyone actually when I think about it..." The man spoke in a confused tone, the words repeating on the tape in a crackly voice. A sigh escaped the girl's mouth, running a hand through her short black hair. She has elf-like small ears with small gold earrings with emeralds in the centre. She was about 5 ft tall, her small eyes shone a dangerous yet calm silver, watching the man stare at the tape, scribbling down the letters as he heard them. His eyes were also small, but he had small regular ears. He sat back in his chair, staring at his page, fixing his glasses on his nose.
"O-okay, thanks for trying Professor." She mumbled in a soft voice, removing the tape from the player, placing it back in a small case and into her black backpack that has small moons over it.
"It's no problem at all. Leave it with me and I'll get back to you on this." He replied, his voice reassuring. The girl posted a fake smile on her face, thanking the man before walking out of his small office quietly.
As she entered the empty hall a feeling in her stomach caused her to hurry into the bathroom, holding her forehead in slight pain. She leaned over the sink, staring into the mirror at her pale face. Her hand moved from her forehead to her ears, touching the tip of it. It had a slight silky feeling to it. She felt her body tremble slightly, the feeling of fear creeping into her body. In the mirror behind the girl stood a man, his hair seemed to reach his waist and softly glowed a bright pink. His eyes were a blinding blue and his ears were shaped like hers but slightly bigger. He wore what looked like fairy tale royal armour; Green laced with blue, polished shoes and a silver sword latched onto his side. The girl spun around, a little too quickly, losing her footing and falling towards the white tiles. In a flash the man was at her side, standing her up right.
"Are you alright M'lady?" His voice was soft and elegant. His eyes somewhat calmed the girl.
"U-um I'm f-fine thank you." She stuttered, her eyes locked on his. His face was only inches from hers which caused her to look away uncomfortably. He frowned slightly, placing a hand on her chin to turn her face towards him. He rested his forehead against hers softly, frowning. The girls face warmed up slightly before she quickly pulled away.
"I don't believe you at all. Your face is red and your temperature is quite high for someone of our species." He spoke in a concerned voice. The girl went hesitated before speaking.
"Yeah well, It's not normal for a male to walk into a female bathroom and then place their forehead against the other's forehead." She spoke defiantly, taking several steps away from the 'man'. The room was quiet for a moment before he let out a laugh.
"Of course, my apologies. You aren't quite used to our customs yet. I forgot the Lura placed hands against foreheads instead of their own forehead." He smiled at her softly. She went silent again, before speaking up.
"I'm sorry, Lura? Is that some kind of star?" She asked tilting her head. At that point, the door opened and a young girl walked in. She was about 5ft 4 and wore a black shirt with denim jeans. Her body froze when she saw the man, raising an eyebrow.
"My, my, Alice, I didn't take you for that type of person." She smirked walking over and leaning against the sink looking between the man and the girl.
"Wha- OH NO! No, he just walked in here! I-" Her voice cut off suddenly, unable to make any sound at all.
"Miss Moon was feeling ill. It's my duty as her guard to make sure she's at full health. I do apologise for walking into the 'female bathroom' but I sensed she was unwell and had to make sure she was okay. I will escort her home now." The man spoke in a voice that seemed almost hypnotic. He linked his arm around Alice's and lead her out of the room.
"That's no excuse for you to walk into the girl's bathroom." the person hissed, standing between the man and the door.
"mY apologies. I'll make sure to remember that next time." He replied, placing a hand on the girl's shoulder, causing her to go stiff, sliding out of the way.
Several females in the hall watched the man with deep interest, stopping them on their way out every few seconds. It had gotten to the point where the man had to lead the girl through the fire escape to get out. The sky was clouded dark grey with flashes of lightning.
"We must hurry. I can't be gone for long." He spoke in a voice different to when he spoke to her and the ladies in the hall. Alice, finding her voice again, pulled the man to a halt before speaking as calmly as possible.
"I'm not going anywhere with you. I don't even know your name let alone who you are or where we're going!" Alice ran a hand through her hair, letting out a sigh. The man hadn't stopped walking, although he hadn't seemed to notice Alice wasn't following. "And here I thought I would be getting the next few days off without trouble." she turned and started making her way back towards the office. A warm hand rested on her shoulder, stopping her in her steps. "Look, I said I'm not going anywhere with you will you please-" Her voice stopped as she spun around. The man she was looking at wasn't the man from before but a man, no a creature with four arms and two red eyes, glowing slightly. Its skin was black with white streaks around his arms and legs, the rest of him covered in metal armour. Before Alice could send out a scream for help something wrapped around her waist, pulling her away from the beast as something silver slashed through it, from the top of his head down to its toes. Silver liquid poured out from inside of it and onto the path way. Alice felt her body tremble slightly at the sight.
"Miss Moon are you alright?" The voice from the bathroom returned. Turning her head she came face to face with the man from earlier, his eyes were locked with hers now, his head tilted slightly, his face full of worry. His face was inches away from hers. Alice felt the words disappear from her mouth, her head pulsing like a hammer hitting a nail. She lifted a hand to her forehead again, almost falling over if the man hadn't been holding her up right. Closing her eyes for a moment, she felt the world slip away silently but quickly, leaving nothing but the trace of fear.
