Joshua got out of bed at 4:30 am in the morning the usual time that he wakes up everyday the reason being is that Joshua lived with his step mother since his father died and he had to do all the chores in the house.
The first think he would do when he got up in the morning was collect the fresh laid eggs from the chicken pen then milked the cow and after that get the yard clean ,sometimes Joshua would wish for a better life one mwhere he could enjoy everything and one where he could fell loved again but to him he taught that day would never come.
Just as Joshua was about to finish brushing up the dining room his step mother Lucinda woke up and came ordering him around. Neighbors who knew what Joshua was going would always try to help him out by comforting him offering meals and sometimes even some spare clothes which he would accept with great thanks.
Joshua was just about to eat the one slice of stale bread and bunch of green grapes that he received from his step mother when she yelled "Joshua come and do the dishes ", "but I'm eating replied Joshua and besides I just did the dishes" .
"Why you slimy brat you dare defy me I should I ought to put you out on the streets and let you gravel like a dog" said Lucinda,"I'm sorry mother I'm coming " . So Joshua went and did the dishes and when finished had his breakfast ,Lucinda had just gone on the patio for a sun out and so Joshua quietly sneaked out of the house and went to his favorite part of the garden a part where rosy pink flowers and wild beautiful canopy of wild roses grow somehow he always felt that this place was very special to him for whenever he went there all his troubles would vanish and he would be at peace just when he was about to fall in to a deep sleep Joshua heard the deep hoarse voice of his step mother yelling for him : "coming mother replied Joshua ."
"Where were you "demanded Lucinda "I was in the garden" replied Joshua ,"In the garden huh ? "Slacking off from your work huh...I'll teach you a lesson ."
Lucinda looked around in the yard and then spotted a tree stomp in the yard that was very thick and wide, "do you see that tree stomp over there" asked Lucinda, "yes I do "said Joshua
"Great she said you will cut it up for fire wood for later and if you can't finish it you'll sleep outside ", "but mother I can't the axe is very heavy and dull for me to use".
"Were you not listening to me if you don't do it you'll sleep outside", "yes mother"replied Joshua so Joshua set to work on chopping up the fire woods but had a very low success rate because he could not handle the heavy and dullness of the axe time soon flew by and Joshua had failed to complete this
task like his selfish step mother had said he was to spend the night outside.
As the door was shut Joshua wondered why he had to live at this house any other place would be better than this he taught to his self .seeing that his step mother was not going to show no mercy he set out to find somewhere to spend the night Joshua looked everywhere an still could not find a suitable place to rest then a sudden taught came to his mind "I wonder how the place in the garden is" he said to his self .Joshua took the old blanket that was on the clothes line and made his way to his favorite spot in the garden but before he spread his blanket Joshua stopped to admire the way the grass and the flowers glowed when the aid of the luminous light from the moon,fireflies twinkled and made the place looked as if it as magical.
Joshua lay down looking at the moonlight seeing that he could not put his self the money sleep in a completely insecure area.Around midnight Joshua was about to dose of when he heard a feeble voice that said "quick back it's human he might harm us" Joshua turned to see the most peculiar creature standing by a big rock wall that he had seen many times before but only now there was an opening in it one of the creatures had white fur and two wings also two horns the other one had pink fur but same characteristics as the other one . "Why most we run declared the one with the pink fur this is the chosen one this is the one whom we was sent to bring fourth to the kingdom of Aposilis The Enchanted Glaze ","so all the stories that my dad told me about that place is true ?"
"Of course it is and we was sent to take you there ,we are servant of the queen Mariposa your mother, the rules of all the land in the kingdom of Aposilis ,"
"My mother ?asked Joshua "but my dad always said she left but never told me why ", "The reason your mother left was for your own protection if her brother king Herod had known you was a life you probably would not have been able to live and be here today."
"I would happier dead than alive because I hate the treatment I get here I hardly have anything to eat or drink and I have to do all the work here, " but that's about to change my dear said the pink fur creature said to him because you are a prince and the heir to our land ." It was all strange to Joshua but he felt a compelling force to believe so he agreed to go with the creatures to the kingdom and they went into the tunnel then a floating train came at there service , although Joshua had never been on a floating train before he did not panic or worry but enjoyed the feelings.
"Before we go further said the withe fur creature I think you should know our name, my name is Grover and My companion here who is also my wife name is Alisa" he said referring to the other creature ." May I ask a question ?" Asked Joshua "of course your majesty" replied Grover "anything" said Alisa , "I'm not being rude "said Joshua "but what are you?"
"Oh" replied Alisa "we are dwarf Angels , who resides in your kingdom and we are your mother trusted advisor". "you see the whole kingdom is filled with magical creatures,even the flowers there posses magical abilities " said Grover , "you should know since you also have this magical ability for the legend have said you are the strongest wizard in the world you posse even more magic than your mother the queen " said Alisa ." That's absurd "said Joshua "I have no magical abilities ", "oh sure you do" said Grover "what you mean " replied Alisa is "that you don't know how to use it "
"Which is not surprising since your magical circuits have been inactive for 16 years " said Grover "tell you what first think tomorrow we'll help you revive your inactive magic circuits " said Alisa "but your are the one that will have to learn how to master your abilities no one can help you since your magic acts on the will to do something you have to control it with your mind " said Grover "is that okay" " well I'll try" said Joshua .
" well at least you'll have something to do for the next 2 weeks " added Alisa
"Two weeks " asked Joshua looking puzzled , " yes" said Grover "the kingdom is very long way from here".
"Okay said Joshua where do I spend the night ?" "Your room is right over there your majesty "said Alisa make your self at home " Joshua almost screamed with excitement for in front of him was the best room meh had ever seen in his life silk sheets soft pillows crystal chandeliers and to make it even more awesome the stuff moved around for themselves Joshua took off his clothes to get ready for bed and they folded there self, even the water poured for him by it self he liked it here and he went to bed wishing his life would be like this forever .Although Joshua was finding everything so hard to believe it was all soaking in slowly and he had ....heard quite a number of magical legends from his dad before he died . Joshua lay soundly has he awaited the dawn of the next day looking forward on learning to do magical " how cool would that be" he muttered to him self before he feel into a deep sleep.
