Campus Crush

Gone but not forgotten.

It was period 5 and I was in chemistry class and the teacher had asked us to find a lab partner for the year. So I turn to my friend Sara to ask her but she is already got a partner, So I go back to my text book. As I turn to the first chapter I hear a deep masculine voice from beside me "Hey Mikayla". I know who it is immediately. It was Caleb my crush "H-Hi" I say in a shaky voice. My heart starts racing, my mind it flooding with questions like, "why he talking to me"? "Why does he want me to be his lab partner for this year"? "Wanna be lab partners"? He asked in a confident voice. "Ye-Yes" I say sounding more nervous than before. After class finishes I tell Sara everything. She got kinda mad or jealous I can never tell the difference, anyway she got over it eventually. I started walking home I was about halfway when I heard Caleb's voice again. So, I stop and turn around. I see him running towards me, my heart starts racing again and I start wandering why he suddenly wants to talk to me. When he caught up to me we started walking towards my house. We were walking and talking until we reached my house we stopped talking for minute. "well this Is me" he said pointing to the crème coloured house with purple lilacs lining the front porch "Wait I said that's your house". "Mines next door" I say while pointing to the elegant white house with bright red roses lining the front porch. "Really" he said sounding really surprised "Well I said I hate to leave but I have to go I have dance practice". "Its okay I have basketball anyway" He said sounding disappointed. I make my way to the front door there was a small white package addressed to me. I go inside and yell out "Mum, Dad I'm home"  there's no answer so i take the package up to my room and start to unwrap it. i stop,  what if its a bomb or something. i start to worry. as i continue to unwrap it i hear my grandma call my name "Mikayla, can you come here a minute please" Coming i yell back. i get down stairs and my grand ma is sitting in the living room she looks distraught, her eyes were wet from crying.
