Nothin' but fluffy goodness. Kinda saddish at first I guess but I promise that the end is sweeter than honey.

Cyrus is alone in public when a storm, something he happens to be terrified of, hits and what does he do? He calls the one person he can rely on.
.........................................

The sound of Truly, Madly, Deeply by One Direction cut through the air and Jonah Beck grabbed his phone off the coffee table.

   "Hey-"

"Jonah Beck, I need you right now. Marty l-left me at the st-tore and it started storming a-and-"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Calm down, Cyrus! Where are you?" Jonah did his best to avoid panicking at how shaky and broken the voice was, already searching for the keys.

   "D-dollar st-tore."

"I'll be there soon, Cyrus. Wait by the doors."

"O-o-ok." He finally got the word out and hung up the phone.

As soon as he could focus on the road, Jonah sped up, cursing the sudden bad weather and berating himself for not checking up on Cyrus right away, even if he was suposed to be with Buffy!

All panic and every self-deprecating thought escaped his mind when he caught sight of Cyrus shaking in the dark behind the glass doors. He knew he probably parked like an ass hole but he really didn't care at the moment.

He was soaked as soon as he stepped out of the car, his feet slipping on the wet concrete.

"Ow, fuck!" he muttered after slamming into the door in his rush.

Jonah could feel Cyrus shaking as he held him, waiting until he calmed a little to lead him to the car.

After putting a sweatshirt from the backseat on him and helping him buckle, Jonah drove them home with a comforting hand placed his boyfriends knee. The radio drowned the rain out a little but Cyrus still jumped with every thunderclap.

By the time they were back in the house, they were once again soaked and Jonah immediately began changing their clothes. He winced every time Cyrus jumped or he felt him tremble, wishing for nothing more than for the rain to stop.

   "J-Jonah, wa-it."

He stopped with his wet shirt halfway off. Dropping it to the floor, he looked him questioningly.

   "Wh-what happened to y-your side?"

Glancing down, he suddenly became very aware of a sharp pain there. It was cut and already beginning to bruise.

   "B-bathroom. Now."

Noting that his stuttering was getting better, Jonah did as he was told.

He watched from the edge of the bathtub as Cyrus rummaged through the first aid kit he'd set on the toilet seat. Coming over with an alcohol wipe, he gave him a shaky smile. Jonah returned it with one of his own. His idiot always seemed to relax a bit when he was helping someone.

The hands were unwavering as they put bandages on his side.

When Cyrus pulled away and sat on the floor, he seemed steadier, the storm having eased up quite a bit. He swallowed thickly, slightly embarrassed but more grateful than anything.

"Thank you, Jonah," he whispered, voice finally steady.

"I've told you. You can always rely on me, Cyrus," he told him, flashing him a smile that lit up Cyrus Goodman's world.
