COLBY'S POV

I kneel down in front of the headstone with tears falling from my eyes.

I sat there quietly, trying to muster up the courage to speak.
I took a deep breath and wiped away my tears.

"It's been days since you've..left," I started. "I haven't left the bed unless I had to use the bathroom. Sometimes I'd fall asleep after a few days of having none. And I'd dream of you. Your smile, your soft blonde hair, your perfect crystal blue eyes that once shone of pure happiness. I'd dream of you pressing your lips against mine one last time and telling me you love me over and over again. But then I'd wake up and then I remember you're gone. I'd stare at your side of the bed & I'd start to cry."
I laughed sadly. My voice cracking every minute I spoke.

"I loved you. I'd whisper as I held your pillow and let the tears fall into them. Your scent was still on them. It was like the only thing I had left of you besides the memories we had together.

I miss you, Sam.

The fans miss you.

The boys miss you.

But they're all holding up way better than I am."
They're stronger than I am.

"Why'd you have to go?" I whispered quietly. "The day..I-I found you in the bathroom..I thought you were happy. I thought you were okay. I should've known better. I could've saved you.

But I failed.

And I'm sorry. I'm so so so so sorry. I wish I could see you again, Sam. One day I will. Wait for me, please? Promise me that, baby. Okay?"
I sighed and took in another deep breath and let the tears fall again. I grabbed the flowers I bought for him and planted them in the small cup made for flowers next to the headstone.

Suddenly, a beautiful blue butterfly flew onto them as soon as I planted them and a breeze blew, sending chills all over my body.

But soon the chills were replaced with a comforting warmth that wrapped around my body.

"Sam, is that you?" I asked.
Soon the warmth left my body but was replaced on my cheeks. I felt a blush creep onto them & a familiar, comforting, tingly feeling was placed on my lips. A grin formed on my face.

I'll take that as a yes.

"I promise, I'll wait, love." I heard a faint whisper say and the warmth left again. I smiled softly and stared at the butterfly.

"I love you so much, Sam." I said & the butterfly flew off.
