"Faggot", Her boyfriend kicked me.
"Nerd", Her best friend slapped me.
"Little bitch", the football player who stared at her ass everyday forced my pants off me and threw them on the top of the fence.
I knew it was only going to get worse. I had only smiled at her. Why did they hate that so much? Everyone smiles at the cheerleaders, especially the head cheerleader. Why did the rich kids have to pick on the boy who got in on scholarships?
A yell cut off my thoughts, "What the hell, Eli?" She pulled her boyfriend away who was still laughing. The football player, Sam, grabbed her from behind and hugged her, making it so she couldn't fight back. I just stared, I didn't know what to do. The skirt of her tiny cheer uniform lifted up and her boyfriend grabbed her ass.
She fought back giggles, I could tell. At least the attention was off of me. She broke away and her friends started walking off the football field. She turned from them and grabbed my pants off the fence. "Here, don't let them pick on you again." She handed them to me and smiled.
I took my pants back and smiled back at her, I thought she would leave after that smile but she helped me up. I took in her features now that I was close to her. Her stormy grey eyes and pale red lips stuck out most. Her lips contrasted with her dark hair. She truly was beautiful, body and mind.
She walked away and I felt something flutter inside of me.
At that moment I knew I was in love with Alexandria Jennings. Someday she would love me too.
