The Past

CHAPTER 1

*Ting* *Ting*

Dahan dahang umunat mula sa pagkakatalungko sa sarili niyang desk sa kwarto si Ice ng marinig niya ang pagtunog. It was her PC again.
What is it this time? Mabilis siyang tumipa sa keyboard at ilang saglit nagpop out na yung message.
She sigh in dissapointment ng makita ang header ng email na nasend sa kanya.  It was just another letter of invitation for her to join Forensic International Organization. One of the most trusted crime preventing organization in the world.

Ilang beses na ba siyang naanyayayahan para sa mga sekretong organisasyon. But she didn't even bother to reply or read it.  Hindi dahil sa ayaw niya, she was just to young to handle those cases. For Pete's Sake she was just 16 years old. Second year student in Mallari University taking up Bachelor of Forensic Science. She worked alone investigating doing her own research. 20 crimes inside the school were given answers because of Ice but nobody knows it only her Tiyo Armando. (Sigh)

She slowly closed her eyes then suddenly memories rushed in.

9 years ago:
Alicki and Cedric Mallari was busy talking in the sofa when Ice approached them.

Mommy!  Daddy!  Lumapit si Ice at humalik sa dalawa.
Hi baby we have good news for you!  mom stated excitedly. Right daddy? Tumango si Cedric.

Ice looked directly to Alicki's eyes then to Cedric. "We are going to the the park tomorrow, right"? Ani ni Ice.

Nangunot ang noo ng dalawa. This is the 20th times they want to surprise Ice but she always guess it right.

How did she know it hon? It always happened. Do you think she's eveasdropping? Bulong ni Alicki.
I don't think so. Lagi natin tong pinag uusapan sa opisina hon. Saad naman ni Cedric.

Parang may napapansin akong mali kay Ice hon. She always talk to herself in her room. Everytime I walked in para icheck siya wala namang kausap. What do you think?  Nag aalalang banggit ni Alicki.

Napansin ko na din yan hon. She always laugh at the garden while running alone. -Wait don't tell me? Gulat na bulalas ni Cedric.

(It seems like my problema sa pag iisip si Ice, what if we would bring her to the psychologist tomorrow.) Ang nasa isip ni Cedric.

Akmang sasabihin niya kay Alicki ang naisip ng biglang magsalita si Ice na parehong naguguluhan sa iniaakto ng dalawa.

What is psychologist daddy? Why are you bringing me there? Inosente nitong tanong.

Napamulagat si Cedric maging si Alicki.

KINABUKASAN

Sakay ng kanilang kotse maagang pumunta ang pamilya Mallari sa psychologist. Nagulat ng pagbaba ni Alicki may humawak sa kamay niya ng mahigpit. Agad napalingon si Alicki. Isang babae ang nakahawak sa kanya. Kasalukuyang hawak din ni Alicki ang isang kamay ni Ice. Mabilis na bumaba si Cedric at lumapit.

What's wrong miss?  Saad nito sa babae.
Biglang napasinghap ang babae. Bumaling kay Alicki.

My visions is real. Your daughter has the ability to read your minds.

What are you talking about? Asik ni Cedric.

May kakayahan ang anak niyong bumasa ng isip at gaya ngayon abala na siya sa pagbabasa ng aking kaisipan. (Ngunit biglang nangunot noo ang babae)
Not only that. She can also see spirits.!

Napasinghap ang mag asawa. Bakit parang may katotohanan ang sinasabi ng babae or coincidence lang yun.

Biglang umupo ang babae para pumantay sa mga mata ni Ice. Then when their eyes met silang dalawa nalang ang nagkakaintidihan.

(Ice: Who are you)
(Babae: I'm Amanda Lee. We are the same)
(Ice: What?)
(Amanda: I need you to leave this place immediately Ice)
(Ice: How did you know my name?)
(Amanda: In case something will happen you can find me at Harrison Building room 812 then I'll tell you everything.  But for now I need you to leave this place immediately!)

Mabilis pa sa bulang nawala ang babae.

Marahang niyugyog ni Alicki si Ice.
Baby!  Tell me what's wrong.

Mommy we need to leave this place.

But why?  Naguguluhang tanong ni Cedric. What did that woman tell you?

Let's go please. At biglang pumasok si Ice sa kotse. Walang nagawa kundi sumunod ang mag asawa at pinaabante na ang kotse.

Hininto ni Cedric ang kotse 800 meters away sa pinagparkingan nila kanina.

There would be an accident there 5 minutes from now. That's what I've read at Amanda's thought----.

Suddenly out of nowhere isang Mitsubishi ang mabilis na sumalpok sa nagparadahan nila kanina. Biglang umapoy ang kotse.Napalabas ang tatlo sa kotse para tignan ang nangyari.

Ice can hear the cry of a child, a man and a woman coming inside of the burning car. Then suddenly three person came out.

Mommy!  Daddy!  They seem normal. They are coming out of the car. I think they're alive. We should help them.
Walang kurap na saad ni Ice.

Nagkatinginan sina Alicki at Cedric. Napa sign of the cross si Alicki.
Oh my G** hon. That woman is telling the truth. All truth. Nanginginig na si Alicki.

Ice you should go in the car. NOW! Malumanay na sambit ni Cedric.
But dad---. They're all crying!  Pumilit ni Ice.

For G** sake baby. They are all dead. What you see are spirits.

Nagsimula doon ang ibat ibang pangyayayari.

Hanggang sa:

It was Ice parents 10th wedding anniversary ng magulantang ang lahat sa biglaang pagkamatay ang magulang niya.

Natagpuan ang labi ng dalawa na magkayakap sa daan pauwi sa bahay nila. Pareho ng malamig na bangkay. Walang witness sa nasabing lugar at wala ding CCTV.
It was an impossible crime. There is no sign of suspicious things in the crime scene. At hanggang ngayon isang malaking katanungan parin iyon kay Ice.

Kung sino nga ba ang pumatay sa magulang niya.

After mourning her parents death, Ice decided to find the woman named Amanda Lee.
That time Amanda is ill. She is an spy in North Korea. Tumakas si Amanda ng magkaraoon ng pagkakataon. At naging residente ng Pilipinas. She always hide her identity for safety purposes dahil hangang ngayon wanted padin siya.

Amanda used all her knowledge to train her. Combatants technique for survival.

After maggraduate ng elementary si Ice ng iwan na siya ni Amanda for good.
Her Tiyo Armando Sanger have taken care of her until now. Until she would turn to her legal age. At siya na mamumuno sa business ng parents niya.
