Chapter 1

Kaylee's POV
"I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide!"
My alarm clock awoke me from my pleasant sleep, playing my favorite song. It was 6:20 and I was already up. I grabbed my phone off of my bedside stand, and decided I would text Piper, my cousin, neighbor, and fellow Disneyland cast member. She and I were the best of friends!
"Hey Piper! You up yet?" I texted her.
Without a response I left my phone on my bed and hopped into the shower. You know when you don't want to go into the shower, but then when you finally get into the shower, and don't wanna get out? That's exactly how I am. But when I got out I wrapped a towel around myself and blow-dried my hair. I wasn't allowed to go to work with wet hair. I changed into my plain white t-shirt and skirt, in which had red plaid with blue over it. I got my plaid vest and name tag and put them into my backpack. I was a 21 year old VIP tour guide at the Disneyland resort, and I loved my job. Piper was a 25 year old cast member at a couple of rides, from Indiana Jones to Jungle Cruise to Big Thunder Mountain. I grabbed a muffin from the kitchen and closed and locked the door after picking up my phone waiting for a reply from my cousin.  Then I heard a beep coming from my phone, "Just coming now." She responded and I walked out closer to her house. Piper closed her door and walked out to me. She wore a black skirt and a plain white top like me. She waved to me and I wave back. We talked as we walked closer to the parks, we lived close to Disneyland, since we walk, it's about 5 minutes. As we got closer to Downtown Disney we decided we would buy a coffee at Starbucks, after that we walked to Disneyland and went through the gates. We said our goodbyes, and I went to City Hall to find out who my group was. You see, VIP tour guides all meet at City Hall on Main Street and get their group or groups for the day. I work everyday, but once a month I get a day or two of,  I get certain holidays off too. I love my work, and love Disneyland. I choose to be a VIP tour guide because I know the park like the back of my hand. My group consisted of 7 people. 6, 7, or 8 people is my average. I was supposed to meet them all at the right entrance on the benches. It was almost eight o'clock and I finished my coffee and threw it away in a nearby trash can. I smiled and greeted people as they entered the park, and gave directions to three different tourists. Then a couple came up to me and showed me a ticket and it said group number 4, my group. The rest of my group showed up by 9:00, and we were off, we rode rides, ate food, and I told them the best parts about the happiest place on earth!
