"So you're human, but something else entirely, at the same time."

"Yes. It's hard to explain, but-"

"Show me."

A moment of ground breaking silence passed between them, and Liam looked at Iredisa, pointedly. She gave him a dubious look, leaning back as was her habit, when unimpressed.

"Seriously?" 

"That's what I said." Liam grunted, frowning. He was clearly irritated, but holding back. Glaring at the canvas before him, Liam then risked a glance in Iredisa's direction. 

"Don't freak out."

Liam gasped, jerking at the closeness and direction of the familar voice, thus, losing control of himself entirely. The brush clattered to the floor, and paint, as red as her hair, splattered against the wooden floorboard.
