Intro & Rules

The seas may be lawless, but we can't afford to be.

1. Respect yer mates

*This is a given of course, but it doesn't hurt to remind a brutal band of sea-faring thieves to be kind.

2. Scrub the decks

*Every two weeks the captain will assign you one of three tasks. You'll read and comment on three chapters of the assigned book along with the rest of the rowdy sailors in yer group.

3. Place yer bets

*Three books are chosen to be read. How do we choose them. User polls. Vote on what sounds interesting, what you like, hell it's anonymous so vote on your own. Top 3 gets picked to be read each cycle. 

4. Put yer name in the captain's book

*Signing up on the next chapter isn't enough. Join our discord to participate in the polls and other little gimmicks the captain will pull out of his hat to choose books.

5. Sing yer shanty

*Time out at sea gets mighty boring. Singing songs is how we get the blood pumping, and writing quality comments is how we make a book club worth it. You can only join our crew if you're interested in giving others helpful feedback that shows & proves you read their work and are willing to comment more than one throwaway line of "I liked it!"

6. Don't abandon ship

*If the land calls you back home or the sea doesn't sing to you anymore make sure to tell the captain and your crew before you disappear. And you can always come back.
