Ringggggg. I woke up to to the first ring of my alarm, ecstatic for the day to start. The sun was shining and I rushed to the window to watch the view from my room. "What a beautiful day", I sighed.
Today was the first day of school. Junior year. I couldn't wait. I opened my closet and got out a pink t-shirt that says the caption, "smile 😊" along with shorts. I took a quick shower and ran downstairs.
"Morningggggg worldddd", I shouted.
"Morning Laura", mom responded with a radiant look.
"Hey Laura", dad said tiredly.
My brother scowled. I ignored him.
Today was going to be a great day as usual no matter what happens.
"Macy will be here any moment", I said grabbing a piece of crossiant. Do you think we can go to The Diner to celebrate the first day back to school on our way back?"
"Sure sweetie, go ahead and have fun"
Soon after, Macy appeared and walked right into the house. "Lauuu, you look amazingggg", she gushed.
"Always the tone of surprise", I said grinning. "Let's get this day started".
We walked out to the garage and I got out the keys to ride my red Porsche.
I cranked the music to the highest and soon we were singing at the top of our lungs, having the time of our lives.
"Junior year, here we comeee"' I hollered.
