The bell rang and a swift breeze of wind brushed past my face. I grabbed my bag and scurried up the stairs to get to Creative Writing. And let me tell you, well, not bragging or anything, but I'm a great writer, and I have a good imagination... But I guess having a good rep as a writer would lead me to higher expectations. Miss Croft told me to expect a "big" project over Winter Break, so, not excited about that... But everything else is fine, my best friend Esa is in the class with me, so I don't have to worry about being paired up with some random creepy person.

I finally got to the classroom after being stuck in hallway traffic. I sat down in my regular seat and placed my backpack on my chair. Unfortunately, Esa wasn't there, so it was seeming that I was going to be a bit lonely for this period, but that wasn't the most of my worries. I looked up towards the front of the classroom to see Miss Croft doodling on the chalk board.

I definitely did NOT sign up for Art class... I sighed and twirled my pencil in my fingers, waiting for class to start...

When the tardy bell finally rang, I looked up at Miss Croft and her finger pointed to the chalkboard, "Publishing" I blinked and few times a wondered if this had to do with my project, I shook my head, waiting for the teacher to say another word.

"Lola! Would you come up to the front and stand next to me? I need to announce something... big." My face heated up and I awkwardly shuffled to the front of the class.

"Now, I know that this might be a lot of pressure, but the class and I have "requested" that you write, AND publish a Fantasy novel." And my head just went numb. I think I started to lose feeling in a few parts of my body.

"W-what?" I mumbled. "We know that you are the best writer in the school's history, but we want you to be acknowledged in the writing world." She drifted off in that last part, but I think I managed to snap myself back to reality.

"I mean, I guess... But I don't know how to publish a book?" I looked up at her. She pointed to herself, "That's why you have me, I know a few people..." She smirked. "So, will you do it?" I turned to face the rest of the class and they all had cheesy puppy dog eyes plastered all over their faces.

I took a deep breath

I let it out

"I'm in" I raised my fist up in the air as the rest of the class cheered for me, my heart couldn't stop racing, I was about to publish a literal book! Why would it stop?

Miss Croft motioned for me to sit back down, and I did. After that whole mess, I just rested my face on my desk as everyone began to write in their journals for poetry week. At least I could meet up with my friends and ask them to help me with story ideas... I just wanted the bell to ring, I had so many ideas for the book!

RING!

Oh, finally... I could not stand another moment without any social interaction. I booked it out of the class room and to the courtyard. I could already see my friends gathering, I let out a sigh of relief and fastened my pace as I got to our usual spots in the courtyard. I made eye contact with my friends, and... they suspiciously all gave me smirks... Ok, we are weird but not usually this weird.

"So Lola, how did Creative Writing go?" Kai asked, wiggling his eyebrows. "It went fine... Did Esa tell you something?" I made a '-.-' face.

"Yes." They all said in unison. Ok, great. They know already, it's gonna be a long day.

"We're so proud of you!!!" Katy cheered and took a bite out of her taco.

"Yeah, seriously... We're here to help on Winter Break, I'm pretty sure Esa has a few things already planned for the first few weeks" Aki laughed. We all started laughing.

And the rest of the day went by pretty quickly... Though I must admit, it was the day before Winter Break started, so I'm pretty sure that I can say that Winter Break has started. And Excited as I was, I still wasn't sure about the whole 'publishing thing', but I guess I was in for something to pass the time.

-Time Skip to the first few days of Winter Break, because why not-

I woke up to the faint sound of my phone ringing, I picked it up.

"What are the first plans for Winter Break, Esa?" I groaned

"Well, I already talked to your parents, so, don't be worried. Me, Kai, Aki, Katy, and Ell are staying at your house for a week or two." She explained.

"Wait, seriously? Are their parents okay with that? Well, actually... Don't answer that. You already planned everything, so when are you guys coming over?" I shifted in my bed listening to the rest of her plans. I got really excited, my and I family get to stay at our vacation home in the mountains, that meant that it would snow a lot! Oooh, we're gonna much fun! They were driving up to the cottage later that afternoon... We had a lot to prepare for.

========================================================

Oh gosh, I'm excited to update this!

Why? I don't know, I feel like I can take this "book" to a whole nother level

And, thank you Grammarly! This thing seriously works like a charm...

(Even though I make "no mistakes" AT ALL, it does a few minor things here and there)

Well, I guess I have to stop typing... I need to go to sleep...

*sigh* I don't want to
