Synopsis

Meet Alexa, who's known as Alex, a college dropout who is going through a rough time in her life. Trying to get back to where she was before has been a huge challenge she is still trying to overcome. Just over a year ago, something happened that changed her life forever. Everything comes crumbling down, including losing her job and getting kicked out her apartment. Alex thinks there's no hope left, until....

Meet Noah, a businessman, who is finally where he has worked to be over the past decade. He's finally the CEO of his own business, who is one of the largest companies in the world, making millions and getting to travel from city to city. But, somehow through all of that he's lost himself, he lost his real passion. He tries to distract himself in all his work, but really starts to wonder if it was all worth it. Noah thinks there's no hope left, until....

Chapter 1

Alexa's Point of View***

I rushed down the sidewalk not even caring where I was going. I could feel the tears streaming down my face as my vision was getting blurry. Pain shot through me as realization of what happened had settled in. I kept moving forward, until I ran right into a tall figure, I took a quick glance up and backed away running towards the nearest restaurant.

As I opened the door, a waiter came up to me.

"Welcome to Alesio's, pleasure to be at your service, reservation?" she asked.

I just couldn't hold it in anymore, just when I thought no more tears could come out, I started bawling my eyes out.

"Uhm.. ma'am." she said quietly.

I cried and cried and cried.

I felt a presence behind me and a voice said, "She's with me."

The waiter nodded quickly and started leading me and .. well, whoever it was, to a table near the back. After we sat down, she handed us menus, and told us to call her when we were ready.

After she left, my eyes started getting clearer, and I could see again.

"Are you okay?" the voice asked.

I looked up and my eyes were with warm brown ones. I immediately recognized the man in front of me as the tall figure I had bumped into on the street earlier.

I felt tempted to just spill out all my thoughts and feelings. To a stranger? I don't know why, but I did anyways.

"Well, if you count losing your job and getting told that you are no longer welcome at your apartment as a good thing, then yes, i'm okay." I replied, looking down.

He cleared his throat, and opened his mouth to reply, but just as he did, the waiter came back.

"What can I get for you guys today?"

The thought of food, made me my stomach quench. I needed to go to the restroom.

"... May I ask where the restrooms are?"

"Just take a left at the exit of this room, and continue down the hall, it will be on your right." she replied with a slight smile.

I quickly got up and thanked her, following her directions. When I got to the restroom, I went to the first stall, sat down, and locked the door, burying my face in my hands.

Noah's Point of View***

Work's finally over, I thought. I gave everybody a quick goodbye to everyone as I left my office. This afternoon, I had to go to check on my restaurant downtown. I called Evan, my driver, to come pick me up.
