*Mya's Pov*

Hi, i'm Mya Williams. My older brother Noah, he is dating Matt's older sister Kirsten. As my brother is dating Kirsten, I am forced to go over to the Espinosa's everyday after school. Matt and I became closer over the course of our older siblings dating.

*Flashback* 2 years ago

Noah and Kristen started dating when they were 16 and Matt and I were 13, which makes them 18 and Matt and I 15 now. I mean Matt and I knew who each other were because we go to school together. Matt just never talked to me unless we were partners for a project. Well, simply because Matthew is the school football star, I was an outcast. No one really liked me, or even knew my name.

When I first went over to the Espinosa's it was really awkward because Matt didn't know Noah was my older brother and Matt and I never actually spoke unless it was a school project. At first I didn't think Matt liked me as a friend because I'm not popular. Actually, he didn't like me he thought I was weird and too quiet.

Soon enough, Matthew and I started to talk a lot outside of school. It was pretty amazing to be exact. The only problem was, he wouldn't talk to me in school because of his "Perfect Reputation," and if he was caught walking with me or talking to me then people would automatically start rumors about us. He wanted to keep his reputation the way it was, so we didn't talk in school. Yes, I will admit it hurt, like a lot, but I respected it. I always thought "maybe one day he'll come around and won't care about his reputation." Honestly, I always doubted he'll come around because he was so much popular than I could ever be.

Today I was going over to the Espinosa's, to be honest I was really excited, I don't know why but I was. I haven't been over to Matthew's in a while because Kirsten was coming over to our house a whole more. I guess you could say I missed him, actually I really miss him. I mean I see in school but we don't have many classes together this year and we never really talk in school.

I got to the Matthew's house, Kirsten invited us inside. I went up to see Matthew and he was in his room with someone. I recognized her from school, she's popular, very pretty, and kind of a bitch to me. She is a grade older than Matthew and I. I mean we talked a couple times in school, but I know she never liked me, I don't know why but she doesn't. I did nothing to her, I guess she just hates me, maybe because I am prettier than she is. I know that's kinda weird for me to say because I have a lot of insecurities. "Hello," I said with a smile. "Hi I'm Victoria, Vic for short though," she said instantly back. Matt gave "the look," so I left. I went downstairs to hangout with Matt's mother, Laura.

"Mya, Matthew is upstairs with Victoria." Laura said to me as I walked into the kitchen. "Yeah, I know I went upstairs and said hi. It was kinda awkward so I came downstairs." I said, she just kinda looked at me. "Is there anything I can help you with?" I asked to get off the topic of Matt and Victoria. Laura was making lunch so I helped her.

Victoria came downstairs, without Matt. I was kind of curious why, but I thought best not to ask. "Laura my mother said I have to go home because of a family emergency. Sorry I couldn't stay for lunch." Victoria said as her mom pulled up in the driveway. "It's okay sweetie. There is always a next time. I hope your family is okay." Laura said as Victoria walked out of the house. I thought well that was a little weird, I mean who knows how long she was here before I got here and who knows what Matt and her were doing. I got a little jealous and walked into the bathroom.

I just stood there looking in the mirror. I stood there and picked out every flaw on my body and compared myself to Victoria. I got a little teary eyed, but I stopped myself. I splashed water on my face and dried it with a towel and walked out. When I walked out Matthew was downstairs talking to Laura. He turned and looked at me, he got up and hugged me. I was a little confused.

"Sorry about Vic, if I knew you were coming over I would've told Vic that she couldn't come over today." Matt said. I was a little confused and so was Laura. "Nah. It's fine." I lied. "Oh okay good, so you wouldn't mind if I ask her out?" Matt asked. Well, ouch that just shot right through me, but why was he asking me for permission to ask someone out. It's not my choice, I mean I prefer if he didn't but I wasn't going to tell him that, because I want him to be happy. "I don't care. It's up to you," I said, god did that take about every bit of courage I had to say that. "Oh okay good, Thanks Mya you always know what's best for me" he said with a smile and then he wrapped me in a hug.

It hurt. It hurt a lot. Like way more than normal and I don't know why.. I had to go home. Matt went into the bathroom. "I have to go have I have a lot of homework that's due tomorrow, thank you for the food." I said holding back the tears. I didn't even let her answer I just grabbed my shoes and ran out the door. Tears were running down my cheeks, it hurt to much. I don't know why but it did. Do I have feelings for him? Oh gawd, he's the quarter back, every girls dream. I can't fall for him..
