"This is quite... unexpected."
"Yes, we've put them in quarantine, all of them are still in stasis."
"Very good. Wake one up. Make it comfortable. I'm sure they have questions. We have a few questions of our own too."

-----

Ateyu opened his eyes slowly. He groaned as a headache set in immediately after the light hit his eyes.
"Welcome... Captain Ateyu, is it?" A voice said.
Ateyu sobered up right away, and stared at the speaker. It looked so much like himself, but... definitely different.
"Wh...where am I? Who are you?" Ateyu asked.
"Somewhere safe... and I am Overseer Nara. We did not expect you to come here. Regardless, welcome."

Ateyu looked around him. He was in a white room. The stasis pod he used to... travel? It came back to him now.
"Where is my ship?" Ateyu asked.
"In our docking bay... drawing quite a crowd, I must say. Unlike anything we have seen. Primitive, yet it made the trip here."

Ateyu looked at the creature. It suddenly occurred to him he was talking to an ALIEN. And the alien spoke his language. All of the training for first contact... this is not what he prepared for.
"What... are you? How do you call yourself?" Ateyu asked, as he sat straight up.
Overseer Nara... laughed? Like Ateyu's own race.
"I am a Human... and you, your race calls themselves Ashai. Though you, you are a subgroup, known as Ashix."

Ateyu was in mild shock... how did it know all that?
Overseer Nara smiled, and chuckled, though softer. She spoke again.
"I'm not the official First Contact Speaker... so my apologies if I am not anything but polite. I'll explain what happened, who we are, and what you are doing here. Are you ready for that?"
Ateyu made a gesture with his hand, a symbol of approval, agreement.
"I don't know what that means." Overseer Nara said.
"Yes... please." Ateyu said, both curious and afraid.

Nara grabbed a device from her pocket. Its screen lit up when she touched it.
"You arrived here a few days ago, triggered our proximity satellites. We sent a scout ship, which brought you in safely. Shortly after that, your crew started to wake up. We prevented that, you're all still in stasis... except for you.
As for where you are; you are on what we call a Dyson Sphere. A massive orb built around a star. This particular one is around a star we call "Mirach", and we've named the structure "Blacksphere", because it is intended to be completely invisible against the background radiation of space.
We've tracked your place of origin... the reason why you are not talking with a First Contact Speaker is because the only one we have is now on his way to your planet.
I can speak your language because our computer translates it in realtime, and we learned your language mostly by finding trace transmissions from your planet, which we seem to have missed before, as well as your ship logs.
For the record... you are not a prisoner here. If you desire we can return you to your planet whenever you want. But I would suggest staying here for now... we are not your enemies, and frankly, with the things going on in this galaxy now... you could use friends. Feel free to ask anything if something is unclear."

Ateyu shook his head, trying to grasp all this information.
Overseer Nara stood up and smiled.
"You need some time. I understand. I'll leave you for now. I will be back in... two hours. I'm not sure what your time measurement is like, but it is not long. We'll decontaminate you and also make sure you can't get any pathogens we may have and I will show you around. We will continue our conversation then."
