hurt

how can one say they love,

yet they think of another,

what love is involved here,

when that which is meant to be true is shattered, another enjoys what was long formed.

memories cherished are what is left now. memories of happiness that keep tears at bay.

comparisons run deep, yet you say love, what love?,

all i see is tears streaming down like a river passing by,

your eyes show disdain when love is meant to be.

hearts bound as one, alas cracks shine through. should i hold on for one more time?

as the tides pass, so will this pain come to pass.

even though cracks deepen and a rift is born i treasure the moments when love shone through.

yes this will pass and a new journey will begin.
