Song: Headphones by Britt Nicole

She gave it her best

She tried to fit in

She tried to be cool

But she never could win

Her mom says she's great

The kids think she's weird

Honestly she wish she could disappear

Why you try, try to be like the rest of them

When you know there's so much more within

There's only one you

Here's what you gotta do

Whoa, whoa

Anytime you feel alone, put on your headphones

Love, love's coming through your headphones

Anytime you feel alone, put on your headphones

Love, love's coming through your headphones

Love is coming through your headphones

He gets in his car

He falls apart

It came to an end

And now it's breaking his heart

He wants to give up

Wants to- "SIN" I paused my music and looked up. My brother Chris was standing there, a big gin plastered on his face.

"Yah Chris?" I asked sitting up.

"Ready for your first day of school?" I groaned and put my headphones back on, making it seem like I was listing to my music again. He walked over to me and pulled them off.

"HEY!" I whined trying to grab them back. "Gimme!" Chris shook his head and walked out of the room.

"Get ready for school!" I frowned and rolled off of my bed. I don't wanna go to school, the first day is always the worst. I walked over to my closet and grabbed my clothes. After brushing my hair and my teeth, I walked downstairs and over to the kitchen.

"Moring mom." I smiled, grabbing and apple.

"Morning sweetheart!" I watched as my mom grabbed her car keys and walked over to the front door. She put on her jacket and looked at me. "Ready to go?" She asked, opening the door.

"As ready as ill ever be." I mumbled, suddenly feeling sick. I stood up and followed her over to her truck.

"So Sin, remember to be nice and try not to make any friends, they will only end up hurting you." I nodded. "Oh Chris will pick you up right after school, no ifs ands or buts."

"Yes ma'am." I replied, looking out of the window. I smiled, watching all of the trees pass by. Suddenly a fox and a cat ran in front of the car. Mom slammed on the brakes and moved her hand in front of my body. The two animals stopped and looked at us with wide eyes. The car horn honked a few times before the animals fully moved out of the way.

My mother slowly moved her hand away from my body and carefully stepped on the gas peddle, her breath slowing down. "Are you okay?" She shakenly asked.

"Y-yes?" I said unsure. I was still trying to comprehend why there was a fox out in the middle of the city.

"Bye mom." I yelled as I ran up to the front of shadow high. I opened the glass doors and stopped right in my tracks. There, standing right in front of me was a cute guy with brown hair and blue eyes. He was holding a white bunny and smiling an adorable lopsided smile. His hair looked like he just woke up. He was wearing what looked to be a black cat jacket.
