Lucy's POV
"Lucy! GET YOUR ASS DOWN THESE STAIRS RIGHT NOW!" My mom yells from the kitchen, flooding the quiet house with noise. I swiftly slide my phone under my pillow and run downstairs. "Yes?" I said, trying my hardest not to piss them off. "Shut up, she didn't ask you to speak, you brat!" my dad said, slapping me hard across the face, then taking a large swig of beer, then saying, "How did you expect the school NOT to call us?! How do you keep getting into so many fights! I can't stand having to deal with your sorry ass all the time!" Oh sh*t, the school did call them. He takes another swig of beer then picks up a kitchen knife and grabs my hand, slowly cutting a large gash across my palm, making me yelp in pain, "Go to your room, I'll be up there in 30 minutes to deal with you."
Hey, I'm Lucy Marais, and yes, I am Jonah Marais' sister. I'm currently 15, turning 16 in December. I have brown hair down to the bottom of my thighs, and bright blue eyes. I've never had my hair cut, hence why its so long. My parents have abused me ever since Jonah left, so almost 2 years, they hate me and love him. Oh, and they're alcoholics.
Once I'm upstairs, I walk into my bathroom crying, and lock the door. The first thing I lay eyes on is my razor. I slowly picked it up and placed it on my arm, and you can all guess what happened next, but I'll skip the details to save your minds. Once I had finished, I had around 20 on each arm, from my elbow joint to the top of my wrists. Still crying, I clean all the cuts and put a bandage around my hand where my dad left a gash.
Afterwards, I casually washed my hair and dried it, its naturally straight so I don't need to straighten it. I put clothes on and unlocked the door and rushed into my room. I grabbed my rucksack and emptied all my school stuff out. I started putting my most important things into my rucksack, I put in my phone, the phone charger, a hairbrush, some extra clothes, all my savings, which consisted of around $100, my earphones, and my songbook, and grabbed my razor from my bathroom. I walked over to my guitar and zipped it in its case, putting the case strap over my shoulders. I walked to my window and opened it, then I jumped out, luckily our house only has one floor. Jumping out the window into the dark, gloomy night in Minnesota.
