KO x Hao Mei Fanfiction (Translation)

"Say, why do you insist on explaining this clearly to him?" Qiu Yong Hou looked at Hao Mei, who was resting his head on his chin while staring at the office area outside. He had long ignored them since he didn't even understand what the other two were talking about and he felt that the topic was too boring and ridiculous. Seeing Hao Mei with this kind of look, Qiu Yong Hou merely shook his head and continued, "Even if it's still unclear right now, it already turned out this way. If we really make it clear to him and they start showing it in front of everyone, what good would that bring to both of us?"

"What do you understand?" Yu Ban Shan rolled his eyes, then he chuckled lowly before speaking, "I only want to see, how Mei Ren will look like after he is..."

"You!—" Qiu Yong Hou glared at him. He took a deep breath before sitting down again. He patted Hao Mei's arm, causing Hao Mei to revert his attention back. Qiu Yong Hou asked, "Did you look for him recently?"

"Yeah. I looked for him and ate his cooking two nights ago." Hao Mei answered honestly. He then pointed his finger out towards them, "Don't tell me you guys think I'm acting spoiled by asking him to cook for me. He's originally a chef and I think his cooking tastes delicious, so I often went to that restaurant."

"Did you talk with him?" Qiu Yong Hou probed further.

"We talked about so many things. Besides, I'm also drunk. Who knows what I said when I'm drunk?" A faint hint of guilt seeped through Hao Mei's eyes as he remembered that particular night when he complained to KO about his tiredness and the heavy workload in the company. He even revealed that he's utterly drained to the point that he didn't want to work anymore. Of course, he couldn't say these kind of things out loud in front of his friends. What would everyone think if they knew? That would surely hurt the feelings of his fellow brothers.

"But there's definitely the moment when you're sober, right?" Qiu Yong Hou loosened his grip.

However, at this point, Yu Ban Shan suddenly interjected, "You're drunk? So how did you go home?"

"I didn't go home. I slept at his place."Hao Mei casually blurted out whatever answer crossed his mind. He was completely unaware of the huge impact that his words carried. He was even unusually excited when he added one more thing, "He even keeps that blanket that I want to throw out the other day. What a good person. I told you already, there's definitely someone who wants my blanket, right?"

With a face brimming with pride, Hao Mei waited for the gush of praise to shower him. But, Yu Ban Shan and Qiu Yong Hou acted like they had just received a sudden, fierce blow as both of them clutched at their chest dramatically. Yu Ban Shan spoke first, "I can't handle it anymore. I want to go to sleep. I'll never deal with this again."

"I'm going to sleep too. I think this world is still too complicated after all. Sure enough, we're very simple." Qiu Yong Hou supported Yu Ban Shan and both men walked away with arms around each other's shoulder.

"You guys..." Hao Mei only watched as both of them left. In spite of his annoyance and sullen mood, he heaved a sigh of relief: It's a good thing that they didn't get to the bottom of this. I complained about so many things to KO that day. Come to think about it, it really doesn't show my loyalty towards my friends.

He turned his body around, intending to see whether KO was still there or not, then he noticed the lights in the office area had just been turned off. Rather than leaving the office through the main door, KO came to his place instead.

"Getting off work?" Hao Mei greeted him casually before laughing, "Actually, you don't need to work 'til this late. You've just joined us, but you already work so hard. It will become busier in the future."
