I'm Emily. I have six amazing best friends, Artemis, Anizabelle, Jessica, Victoria, Aren, and Alex. "Hey Em-" Artemis was just about to say as the 8:00 bellrang on a cold Monday morning. They walked to class in almost silence. "I am Professor Binns your new history teacher." We sat there speechless looking at him, taking in his dark brown mustache with a few grey hairs lining it. No matter how much I knew it was rude to stare, he looked so familiar. Where have I seen him? I thought to myself almost all morning until, BANG! The door closed almost as fast as it had opened. I couldn't tell who had entered. My mind was spinning and then, "HEY EMILY!!" "Aren! You scared me!! You jerk!" Alex was high fiveing Aren telling him that was the best scare of all time. "ENOUGH! Will ANYONE pay attention to my history lesson?!" Everyone stoped laughing abruptly.
Even Alex lost his smirk. That's how we all knew this teacher meant business. My breath didn't come back completely until lunch. "What do you think Emily?" Aren asked me. "I don't know." I replied untruthfully because I actually didn't hear a word anyone was saying. " I have been spacing out ever since my family went missing.
