Alex p.o.v
Today started out like any other day, wake up, brush teeth, change into my normal outfit, walk down stairs and have breakfast, then head to school. This is what any other day is like, same stuff, same routine. I always walk the same route to school
and walk through the same doors into Davidson high school. Everything isn't really the same, my best friend Karly Patterson moved to Michigan because of her grandmother, she was sick and having trouble living by herself. So now I don't see Karly anymore and I'm sort of a loner now. Karly was really my only friend, she was like a sister to me. We always hung out and did everything together and now she left. But at school it really doesn't matter, it's the same thing everyday, same classes, same teachers, same rude, obnoxious people I have to bear with.
As I walk down the halls no one notices me or even looks my way. It doesn't matter I don't like them anyways. I walk into my first class and sit in my same spot waiting for the teacher to walk in, Mrs. Hastings, she was a quite, shy, teacher in her mid-40's. As she moves on to teaching the lesson, which is math, she ask for a volunteer. I love math so I raise my hand to do the problem. I'm the only person to raise they're hand, she completely ignores me and chooses somebody else's to do the problem, I'm very offended and just daydream the rest of the class and wonder why she wouldn't pick me. She knows I'm one of the best students in her class, but I don't think about it anymore and head on to my next class.
••••••LUNCH TIME••••••
I head into the cafeteria going to get my lunch and head outside like I always do, it's more quite outside and peaceful and no one comes out there but me. The lunch ladies always leave the food sitting there and all you have to do is type in what you got and pay, I did just that and left and head towards my spot. A big oak tree where the branches and leafs cover me from the sun.
I finish eating and walk back to my locker. Nobody is in the halls, it's just me alone again, I get my books for my next classes and head on to History class.
••••••DISMISSAL BELL••••••
The last bell rings and everyone floods out of the classroom ready to go home, I walk home since the school is on my road and only 3 mins from my house. I walk to my house and unlock my front door like always. I always get home before my parents do do it gives me some down time and I do my homework.
••••••30 MINUTES LATER••••••
As if on cue my parents walk through the door at exactly 3:33. I hear my dad say something about how the door is unlocked again, I yell "I FORGOT TO LOCK IT BACK, SORRY!" But didn't hear my parents reply back, it didn't bother me because I'm use to it. Saying something to people and not getting a reply back, like they're ignoring me, happens everyday.
••••••NIGHT TIME••••••
It's around supper time but I don't go downstairs I'm not hungry so I decide to go to sleep early. But I really can't when I hear my parents talking about how they miss me and how they wish things were different, I wonder what they mean they see me everyday and everyday is the same what could be different about it. But I don't pay any heed to it and go to bed.
