I squeeze my eyes shut, hoping to wake up from this nightmare. I want to get back and make it all better. I want to say everything I dont get to. I want to love him back to life the way he did with me.
His family starts to clear out on the room. His mother was sobbing. Will went to comfort her. I look at him, lifeless. This wasnt my Tyler. My Tyler was so full of life, and happy.
I remembered back to all our times togeather, even today's events. I remembered what those terrible people said when I found out Tessa- I mean Tessandra was alive, "We gave her the blood the nurses tool from you, so shes invincible now." I pray I have time left. I spin around the room looking for a piece of glass, a shop object, anything. My eyes land on a scalpel which I quickly grab. I cut my arm, not deep enough to cause damage but just enough for my blood to start to drip out. I wince and walk over to Tyler. I cut his arm also and let the book start to drip out onto his. Nothing.
I start to shake him, scream his name. Anything. Was I too late? I fall back against a wall screaming. I slowly slide down sobbing. Blood smeared the walls. I didnt care. I know how he felt pulling me out on the lake. Being too late.
Between sobs I hear a faint beeping, a heart monitor. Through blurred vision I jump up and run to him. He was alive? He was alive! I yell for a doctor. They come running in and they push me out the room. Will comes wondering what all the commotion was about. When he sees the doctors and heart monitor he stops, shocked. "You did it?" He looks over at me and I nod unable to get the words out. He pulls me into a bone crushing hug. "I dont know how you did it, but thank you." He sounded so relieved, happy, and most of all, sincere.
Five hours later
I waited in the hospital room for what seems like hours until he woke up. Will and his mother and went home to get some rest. His mother wasnt happy to leave at first, but Will convinced her to let me stay alone with him.
His eyes fluttered open. They looked so innocent, if you just saw this you wouldnt believe anything that had happened a few hours ago. He looked around "Maddie? " I walked to him and grabbed his hand. "Im here. Im here!" He looked confused, probably how I looked when I woke up. "What happened?" I smiled at him and squeezed his hand. "You Died, but its okay I saved you. " He smiled up at me. "My knight in shining armor." I laughed and leaned down to him and kissed him. It wasnt to rough or to slow, it was perfect. After a while he pulled away. "Madison Taylor, I love you." I need knew how much I need to hear those words. Hell, for awhile I wanted nothing to do with this boy. But that was before I died, and came back to life. After that, everything changed.
