A few weeks have passed since Louis and I officially had gotten together. I could honestly say that I have never been happier. We may have been complete opposites, but we seemed to fit.
I had a few exams coming up soon. One of them was in the English class I had with Louis.
He and I were currently studying in his apartment. Our notes were spread across his coffee table.
I was in complete study mode. I had my hair in a pony tail and I was wearing my favorite sweatpants. Louis gave me one of his hoodies to wear since it was absolutely freezing outside.
I was reading a passage in my English book when I felt eyes on me. I looked up and Louis was staring at me.
"Take a picture, it lasts longer." I mumbled causing him to laugh. A few seconds later I saw the flash of a camera.
"What are you doing?" I asked him even though it was pretty obvious.
"I don't have any pictures of my girlfriend." Louis moved closer to me.
"Of course you would want to take a picture with me when I look terrible." I grumbled.
"You look beautiful like always, love." Louis grabbed my hand and I started to feel my cheeks heat up.
"You're a little biased, Louis." I joked as I leaned over and kissed his cheek.
"No, I'm not. Will you please take a picture with me?" He begged.
I groaned a little, "Ugh, fine." He moved a little closer to me and raised his phone up a little. I smiled and so did he. The picture turned out a lot better than I thought it would.
"See, that wasn't so bad." He kissed me softly before he got up and grabbed his mug. I grabbed mine and headed into the kitchen with him. I desperately needed some more coffee.
"I have to get going soon. I don't want to leave later when it's freezing outside." I told him as he poured the coffee in my cup.
"Then don't go."
I rolled my eyes a little, "I can't stay. I don't have anything here."
"Then let's go and get you some things. You can stay and that way we can study longer." Louis suggested. I was sort of hoping that he would ask me to stay over. I have a few times since we started dating. It was like we were in our own little world.
"Can we go now? It's supposed to be freezing later."
He nodded, "Let me go grab my keys."
While he went to go get his keys, I put on my boots and redid my ponytail.
It only took us a few minutes to get to my dorm. I wondered if Avery was going to be there. She and I only spoke a handful of times the last few weeks. She was busy with her friends and I was with Louis most of the time.
When we got to my dorm, Louis told me that he would wait outside and keep the car warm. I kissed him softly before I got out of his car.
I braced the cold and hurried inside. When I got to my dorm, the door was unlocked. Avery was here. I went inside and she was on her phone pacing around the living room. She smiled when she saw me come in.
"I'll talk to you later." She told the person that she was talking to on the phone.
"Hey stranger." She joked.
"Hey." I smiled. I went into my room and I heard her follow me.
"I was thinking we could go and catch a movie tonight." She suggested.
"I'm actually just grabbing some things to go back to Louis'. He and I are studying for our exam." I told her as I grabbed a bag out of my closet.
"I hardly ever see you." Avery muttered.
"I'm not always gone. Whenever I'm here, you aren't." I said as I turned to face her.
"Ever since you and Louis got together, you forgot about everything else."
I couldn't believe she just said that.
"It's not like we were so close to begin with. You were always leaving me to go out with some guy. I'm finally with someone who makes me happy. Why are you upset about that?" I asked her.
She didn't say anything. I knew that what I said was crossing the line a little, but I didn't care.
"How are you friends with Eleanor?" I asked her. Ever since I saw them talking at that party, it had been bothering me.
Avery looked a little nervous to me, but I might have been imagining it.
"We have a class together." She told me.
I honestly didn't know if I believed it.
"Has she said anything about me and Louis?"
Avery shook her head. She looked down at her feet. She was lying. I grabbed a few clothes and put them in my bag. I grabbed my toiletries and put them in there also. Avery watched as I grabbed my things.
Before I left, I looked over at her, "You aren't lying to me are you? If you knew something, you would tell me right?"
She nodded but didn't say anything.
"Goodbye, Avery." I told her before I left the room. Someone had to have been going on. Maybe Eleanor learned that Avery was my roommate and started tormenting her or something.
Maybe she wanted Avery to tell her things about Louis and I. I was starting to give myself a headache thinking about all of the possibilities.
When I got back to Louis' car, he was texting.
"Is everything okay?" He asked me.
I nodded, "Avery and I got into a little argument."
Louis reached over and grabbed my hand. He laced our fingers together and brought my hand up to his lips. I felt his lip ring against my skin as he kissed my hand.
"Instead of studying tonight, would you like to go out?" Louis asked me. I did need a distraction. I needed a drink top
"That sounds perfect." I smiled.
