Earth, The homeworld of the humans, from its rolling green hills, to its beautiful blue oceans, has always been the crown jewel of the human empire. And as such, has always been under the utmost protection from its military and top scientists.
With planetary shield barriers, massive hordes of cannon batteries on the surface and in orbit. Earth was untouchable. Was. In the year 3473, Humans discovered teleportation technology. They guarded this secret in the most secure vaults across their home world. However, in the year 3479, the Zarinthian Empire teleported past Earth's global shield barrier to wreak havoc across the planet. The EDF, or Earth Defense Force, was created as a result. For 22 years, the Humans and Zarinthians battled all across the sector. It was only after the complete and utter destruction of a human planet that the EDF was issued a new prime directive. The EDF's prime directive was a simple one. To defend Earth at all costs, and to find the Zarinthian home world, and eliminate it. Once, and for all.
