Rainy day

Rain beats against the dirt as the thunder and lightning gets louder by the second. A small black cat, with a light blue scarf around it's neck, chases a mouse. One that has invaded the cats territory many times. The cats piercing blue eyes glare at the mouse as it runs from it's sight. As the cat catches it's breath it turns around to head home.

Trees loomed over the cat providing him protection from the rain. Thunder banged louder against the sky and lightning crashed against the pavement as the cat ran back home. Darting into it's home, soaked from the rain, the cat shook it's self trying to get the water off.

"Loki!" A girl's voice spoke with worry.

Loki looked at her and tilted his head in confusion as she grabs a towel.

Drying Loki off she spoke again, "geez where have you been? You got me an mom worried you silly cat."

"Nikki!" A woman spoke from the living room, "did Loki finally come back?"

"Yes mama," Nikki says as she picks Loki up and walk into the living room.

"Thank god," Nikki's mother sighs, "it's a good thing he didn't get lost out there."

"See Loki you even had mom worried," Nikki says petting Loki.

As Nikki walked her mother out the door, "your going to be okay right?" She asks.

"I'll be fine I'm more worried about you, your living all alone-"

"Mom I'll be fine besides dads friends still live around here they said they will check on me every once in awhile an call you if anything happens," Nikki says cutting he mother off.

"Okay but call me if you can alright?"

"I promise I will," Slightly closing the door and saying their goodbyes Nikki's mother leaves.

A few hours pass when the clock reads 9:46. Nikki is in the shower upstairs while Loki is sitting on the couch.

"Man I'm bored," Loki says loud enough only for him to hear as he leans over the arm of the couch. Loki's tail sways in the air as his ears twitch to the sound of footsteps, "shit."

Nikki comes downstairs to see Loki curled in a black ball of fur, "Aw hey little guy," she says petting him while he yawns, "ya me too buddy."

Loki watches her walk into the kitchen and make something. Jumping on the counter behind Nikki, Loki watches her make her food.

"Meow~"

Nikki turns around from hearing Loki's soft meow and gets a can of tuna, "Hungry?" She asks watching his tail flicker with excitement as she opens the can.

Timeskip~

Morning came an Nikki woke with Loki cuddling next to her, she smiled, "Morning Loki," she days as she yawns.

Loki stretches his paws and yawns.

"Darn wish I could stay home but I have work," as Nikki gets up to change Loki buries his small head under the pillow. Nikki notices and laughs, "Loki...what are you doing?"

After getting ready for they day Nikki grabs her keys and heads out, "I'll be back around noon, your bowl has food, just be good, love you Loki."

Damn that was weird, Loki thinks to himself, ahh so hungry.
