"Huy! Aubrey! Were you even listening?"Ash asked with a confused face.
I've been spacing out lately. I can't help it ang dami kong iniisip lately. I don't want to disappoint my mom and dad. Ate's birthday is drawing nearer and nearer. I can't help myself from feeling pressured.
"S-sorry, what were you saying nga?"
She frowned and sighed. "Ang sabi ko, we should go shopping for make-up and clothes later, after our classes."
I raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Para saan? May date ka nanaman ba?"
She rolled her eyes but smiled on the latter. Ashley's my best friend, we've been classmate ever since I can remember. Sometimes I wonder what did I do to deserve someone like Ashley. She's not just a friend, she's also a sister to me. She's been with me through ups and downs.
"Wala! Next week kasi—" Ashley wasn't able to finish what she was saying when Liam butted in.
"Hey ladies!"
I smiled at Liam while Ashley glared at him. Liam is our close friend. Well, maybe he's not so close to Ashley. They always argue about every little thing. Maybe because their personalities contrast one another? I'm not quite sure, but sometimes I can't help but speculate that Liam has a thing for Ashley. Kase usually ganun naman lagi diba? Kung sino yung magka-away sila din yung maiinlove sa isa't-isa.
"Brey, there's a new restaurant just across the school, do you wanna have lunch with me?" Liam asked me while taking a sit next to Ashley. I can't help but laugh a little. Insensitive bastard! He didn't even asked Ashley if she wants to come.

Now I remember why they don't get along. He's never a gentleman to Ashley.
I quickly declined his offer. Ashley and I are gonna go shopping anyways. And besides, it's somehow hard to be with him.
Liam is practically a heartthrob here in our university. He's handsome and has great charisma. He may be a jerk most of the times but he has this soft side too. His eyes are somehow poisonous, once you look into them, you will be doomed in his 'love spell'.
But thank God, it doesn't work on me.
"Why not?" He asked, masking his voice like a 5 year old's. He even pouted like a puppy. Seriously, can you believe this guy?
"Because, Aubrey and I have much more important things to do than wasting our time with you." Ashley said bitterly.
How I wish I had prepared some popcorn. Once Liam and Ashley collide, a drama bomb explodes.
Liam scooted next to Ashley and raised his eyebrow. "The last time I checked, I didn't asked you to come with us. So don't worry, your boring uptight ass won't have to waste precious time." He even said it in a mocking tone! Ash is surely gonna kill this guy.
