"Alright don't peek", Ethan said as he shuffled around the room. Something cold touched my neck making me shiver. "Ok you can open your eyes". I quickly took the blindfold off, and looked down. It was a beautiful gold necklace.

"Ethan it's gorgeous".

"I thought you would like it. Look at this". He took the necklace off. "It's a locket". He opened it, and handed it back to me. Inside the locket was a picture of us.

"I chose that picture, because we took it on our one month anniversary. I mean it's crazy how far we've come". Ethan ran his fingers through my hair. "I can't wait for more years to come".

"Me either". I hugged Ethan tight. I didn't ever want to let go.

"Come on. I have some place special we're going to tonight".

"Eth come on I only got you a skateboard".

"Yeah it was very expensive though".

"So was this necklace I'm sure". Eth ignored my remark and took my hand.

"Come on. We have reservations".

"Where too? It better not be expensive". Eth ignored me and continued to lead me towards the door.

"I look like crap. I need to change".

"No you look beautiful like always". I rolled my eyes. What did I do to deserve him?

"Just please tell me where we're going".

"Nope. It's a surprise".

"Well now I feel bad about only getting you a skateboard".

"Here you can do something else for me".

"What"?

"Stop worrying".

"Ugh alright". Ethan lead me down the elevator and to his car. He held my hand the whole way down.

When he opened the door, there was a blanket covering my seat.

"Comfy"? He asked as soon as I sat down.

"Yeah why wouldn't I be"?

"I put something under that blanket".

"What"? I asked. He shrugged.

"I guess you should look". He said. I sat up a bit and lifted the blanket. There was a small box tied with a bow.

"Ethan you got me something else"? I asked shocked. "Now I feel bad".

"Don't. I love the present you got me. Come on just open it".

I grabbed the box and sat down.

"I'm so surprised you couldn't feel that box", Ethan laughed. "I thought you definitely would".

I unwrapped the ribbon, and opened the box. It was a ring. Was Ethan about to propose? I was far from ready to get married.

"Don't worry it's not a wedding ring. It's a promise ring".

"Aww Eth it's so pretty. Thank you".

"You know what this means".

"Were gonna remain together until marriage".

"Oh". I said.

"You still like it right? Even with the meaning behind it"?

"Yeah of course. I want to get married to you, just not soon".

"That's the best part. The ring pretty much means we're not ready yet. I mean whenever we feel ready I'll actually propose".

"I love you".

"I love you too", Ethan leaned in for a kiss. His lips collided with mine.

"Well let's go". Ethan started the car. After minutes of driving, and some small talk here and there we arrived. It was a fancy Italian restaurant called Da Vittorio.

"This seems really expensive". I said before getting out.

"You deserve it". That was a lie. I didn't deserve this treatment.

"Wait let me open your door. Ethan hurried over and opened it. "And you actually do look gorgeous". I couldn't help, but blush.

"Ugh you're so sweet".

"I know", He said with a smirk.

We headed inside. The restaurant was well lit by huge chandeliers. Quite music played as people sat and ate. A small water fountain sat in the center.

"Wow this place is amazing". I gawked.

After a delicious dinner we sat down in the car. I could tell Ethan was hiding something.

"What"?

"What do you mean what"?

"You look guilty of something".

"I have another surprise".

"Ugh Ethan you've given me too much already".

"This isn't as big as the others don't worry".

"It doesn't matter you've already done enough. Eth thank you".

"Thank you for sticking with me for this long".

"Stop being so sweet seriously you're usually an ass".

"Shut up", He nudged me playfully. "Well this is your final gift I promise". Ethan pulled out a piece of paper, and handed it to me. It was a plane ticket to Hawaii.

"Ethan you did not", I said shocked.

"Oops".

I squealed. "Thank you so much! I thought you said this wasn't big. This is huge".

"I may have lied a tiny bit, you're not mad are you"?

"What of course not I'm so excited"!

"Good", Ethan smiled. "Were leaving in a week".
