Well, when exactly was the last time i missed her? There were many last times and its pretty difficult to stop at one.
I couldn't resist but keep holding her t-shirt close to my chest. She had forgotten about the tee she was wearing all day until she changed to a pretty white dress to get on the stage. It was her favourite, and now mine too. I knew why it was her favourite, it was her most preferred one! It was simply lying next to my third eye - camera, I kept it in my bag as I knew she would completely forget about it in that busy time.
At the hotel room I lay, staring at her pictures I'd clicked this evening. She looks remarkably beautiful in that white dress holding on to the mic. She made the crowd spell-bound, I must say. Taking her tee in my arms and holding it close to my chest, I wish it was her instead. I drank in the feel of the cloth and consoled myself with the thought that I'd finally gotten of something that was hers. Other than her heart, of course! Something I could touch feel and hold. Something that would actually help me feel her beside me, drinking in her scent and actually convincing myself that this missing would in fact, end one day! This is exactly what I wanted after one tiring day of travel and shoot.
That night, I clung to it. My fingers wrapped around the edges of the fabric thinking about all those beautiful moments she'd given me right from the day her eyes met mine.
Sun shined bright when I opened my eyes and my phone buzzed. "Good morning baby!". It was her. I smiled. "Good morning love! I'll pick you at 10". I replied.
At 10 I was there, out of her place of stay. We had a long five hour journey ahead of us. Getting into the car she hugged me and said " baby, my favourite tee is missing!", I simply gave her a smile which she loved the most.
