I woke up today just like I have countless times in the past. Taking a few minutes to just lie there in bed and enjoying the last few minutes under my nice warm covers. Sitting up finally and climbing out of it I make my why to the bathroom. (Sorry yall gonna have to wait out here.) Whew that was smelly. I start the coffee go outside to collect the morning newspaper, by the time I get back inside the coffee was done so I grab a cup. With my coffee in hand I walk out to the old oak tree in the back yard. I set my cup down and open the paper first place I go to the comics. (Garfield is the cat!!) I look down at the corner ad in the paper "help wanted come join a growing company." I said bet I could always use the extra income, so I made the call.
"Hello" a voice on there other end said, "thank you for inquiring about our open positions." Still listening, " we currently have 160 spaces that need to be filled. What are some of your talents and we will get you a job."
"I am a jack of all trades and really don't have a special talents." I say, "Although I am a fast learner so I can do almost any job you might have." I sounded cocky and I was but it didn't seem to bother her. "Is there a position like that for me."
She comes back on the phone after a few minutes of silence. " I'll have to check with the employer I am not really for sure. Can I put you on hold for a minute or two."
"Yes" is all I say before beep the elevator music starts to play.
"Hello," the second voice startled me and I dropped this time it was a guys voice." My assistant tells me you are looking for a jack of all trades kind of job."
I say, " Yes I can do almost any thing you have to do." Again I sounded cocky, "Do you have anything that you need a employee like me to do."
" Yes," he says, "can you come in after the weekend, and we will get you set up."
After the phone call that was only good news I start to make breakfast, yum eggs toast and bacon. I get done cooking this wonderful feast and look at the empty chair that sat across from me. Sighing slightly I eat my meal and get up to wash my plate. The phone rings and before I could even say hello. " Dude you have to get down here there is something you really need to see." And the phone cuts out.
Now I have known every event that has ever took place here, so when some one says get down here and something you need to see you get there. I didn't even get out of my pajamas and rushed for the only spot that this could possibly could be. Jonnies place the best and only bar/restaurant in this little town. I got out there in about twenty five minutes. I couldn't believe what I saw all 160 people were gathered staring at some thing I have never seem before.
