I felt the blade pierce through his skin.

"Cross them again, and you won't be let off so lightly," I pulled the dagger from his shoulder. He groaned and collapsed to the ground again.

"Lightly?" He scoffed, as the blood started dripping from his wound.

"You want more?" I said, gently trailing the blade up his back before circling the wound I had just created.

"No, please no!" he begged.

"Shhhh, hush darling. You don't want someone coming." I crouched down to whisper in his ear, "That would be very bad." I licked his earlobe and heard him breathe shakily. Biting my lip I moved in front of him and caressed his cheek. I pulled him in and we kissed. After a few minutes, I pulled away and stood up.

"Wait, Phoenix" He said, with hope in his eyes. "Where can I find you again?"

I chuckled and walked away.

I brush down my clothes as I walk into the building. I had done my job now it's time to get paid. I walked past the receptionist in the building and straight to the grand staircase behind her.

"Done already?" she asks.

"With jobs like this it's in, out, no messing about." she nods and returns to her work. I ascend the stairs and navigate my way to the Manager's office. I let myself in without knocking.

"Is it done?" I close the door behind me and look at the boss sitting at the desk opposite me. A bodyguard stands at the side of the room.

"Of course it is." He picks a bag up from beside him and throws it to the ground just in front of his desk. I walk towards it, lean down and open it.

"Where's the rest?" I ask.

"What do you mean?" He asks.

"We agreed on 500,000. This is 4." I look up at him.

"Oh, I don't remember that, do you Grant?" The bodyguard behind him shakes his head. "Then you must be mistaken, Phoenix." I glare at him. He very well knows what he owes. I made sure of it when we agreed.

"Maybe this will help you remember." I pull out my handgun and aim it at him. Grant instantly pulls up his larger gun and aims it at me. I sigh and take a step back. I lower my gun and return it to my holster. I hold my hands up in defeat. "I'll be on my way then," I say, taking a step forward again. Grant re-aims the gun at me. "I need the bag, remember?" I roll my eyes and lean down towards the bag but before my hand grasps the strap, I swing my leg around, kicking the gun out of Grant's hands and into the corner of the room behind me. I quickly stand up and pull my gun out again. "Now." I say smirking. "Where's the rest?"

"I was being serious, I thought it was 4!" He says.

"Really." I say. "Do I need to shoot another bodyguard before you remember?" I move my gun to where I'm aiming at Grant. He stiffens.

"No-no It's just I don---" I cut him of by pulling the trigger. Grant screams as he collapses to the floor.

"Let me try again." I say, aiming the gun back at him. "Where's the rest?" He shakily reaches down and pulls another bag from under his desk, this time a smaller one. He throws it to me. I keep the gun aimed at him as I crouch and check the contents of the bag. I nod and stand with both bags. "Thank you!" I say innocently. I chuckle and turn to leave. I open the door, but before I leave I turn around.

And shoot.
