"In a couple minutes, you'll see the Vancouver skyline," the pilot said over the intercom. I didn't have a window seat, so it didn't really matter to me, but excitement welled up anyway. I'm finally here! After such a long flight from Cincinnati, I've finally made it. Don't get me wrong, Ohio is where all of my friends and family are, but I got a job offer working for Magee Secondary School and couldn't refuse, and off I went. A big move, a new life.

I sighed, resting my head on the back of my chair, wondering how my dog, Peety, was doing in the under carriage of the plane. He's probably confused and terrified, but I'm sure he'll also enjoy his new life too.

"The plane will start its decent soon. If everyone could go to their seats and secure they're safety belts, we may start landing." A middle aged flight attendant said, politely setting the intercom down to put his own on.

Once we reached the ground and everyone was allowed to exit, I grabbed my carry on from above me and walked into the tunnel leading up to the terminal.

I looked like a lost puppy trying to find my way around the Vancouver International Airport, fortunately finding the terminal for my luggage. Why did I bring so much? Two big bags, a carry on and a scared beagle. As long as I can get everything to my rental car, I'll be fine. But where was that?

I looked around, desperately trying to find an employee or some frequent flier to help me. Distressed and distracted, I accidentally bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry!" I yelped.

"It's okay! Are you lost ma'am?" I turn around to find a tall blonde haired man. I looked at him from head to toe. He was wearing a black v-neck, black jeans, and the most bedazzled shoes I'd ever seen.

"Do you come here often? I doubt you're an employee here.." I looked up to see his most stunning feature- those pale blue eyes. They shined with a genuineness that I haven't seen anywhere before. Arabella, get yourself together, I thought to myself. You can't just fall for any guy with pretty eyes at an airport. "I.. uh.. need quite a bit of help if I do say so myself.." I scratched my head a little, looking away from those eyes because I know if it was any longer, then I'd just look creepy.

"Where do you need to go? I can help you with your bags if you'd like."

"No, I'm fine with those, I just need to know where to pick up animals and also where the rental car services are."

"Oh! Of course. They'll bring any animals you took over there," he pointed, gesturing at a woman behind a desk. "As for the rental cars, she can help you with that too."

I smiled at him, thanking him for the help. We parted ways, but his eyes still bored into me. I must say, his long hair didn't really suit him, but damn, he was still pretty cute.

After getting Peety and obtaining my rental car, a red Ford Focus, I used the GPS it had to find my way to my new home.
