Zynthie's POV: I walked slowly into the great hall, my long robes trailing behind me. First day of sixth year, a year filled with exams and all the horror. Rumour had it, the famous Triwizard Tournament would take place here, alongside the school curriculum. Totally barbaric. I sat down in between my best friends, Fred and George Weasley. "Evening!" They said in unison. "Gred, Feorge," I smirked, "how are my favourite gingers?" "Great! How is our favourite blonde?" They said in unison, once again. I nodded, furrowing my eyebrows and sipping the drink that sat in front of me. From behind, I heard the laughter of the hufflepuff table. Intrigued, I turned to them, my eyebrows now raised. What I saw, was what I wanted to. Cedric Diggory. I liked him a lot, but girl code clearly stated, 'if you and your friend like the same guy, don't go for him.' Five years. FIVE YEARS, I'd followed stupid girl code. He liked me too, so it was a cycle of constant, unwanted friend zone. Mumbles came from my table. Then they got louder. "Zynthie!" A familiar female voice snapped. My head shot back to her. "Cedric saw you staring!" Hermione' eyebrows were raised. I turned bright red. "For god sake, just go over.." George muttered. Him speaking alone, him speaking rudely towards me - that's how you knew he was angry. "Bloody hell, Georgie! Alright then! Geez.." I pushed up off the table and strutted towards the hufflepuff table. "Hi!" I smiled, pressing my lips together. His perfect face turned bright red, causing his friends to 'ooo' and 'hmm'. "Zynth! Hi!" His friends all laughed, whispering stuff to each other. I rolled my eyes. "For 16 and 17 year olds I'd most likely believe you were 7..." I grinned.

Cedric blushed, once again. "Sorry Zynth, they're-" "We aren't anything. You have been talking about Zynthie for the past 15 minutes!" Hannah Abbott burst into laughter. I smiled at her and turned to Cedric. "Why?" I asked, with an eyebrow raised. "Oh.. Um-I just-" "No, I mean, why were you talking about me?" They all silenced, and he looked confused. "You could've talked with me..." Attempting to keep flirting, I bit my lip. He was working out what to say, I could hear his thoughts. "Well... maybe I will!" He smirked. "Oh yeah?" I questioned playfully. "Mmh..." "How about tomorrow morning... Quidditch Practice?" I already knew his answer. "Yes!" He spluttered out, not even thinking first. I nodded, turning away.

"So... how'd it go?" Hermione wiggled her eyebrows. For what seemed like the 100th time today, I rolled my eyes. Trying to play it cool, I shrugged. Being me, I had that reputation. Zynth Wesley-Wing. Coolest girl in sixth, coolest girl in the whole school. But in my head, no way. Sure, I was pretty - very pretty, may I add - but cool people, to me, were mean. I wasn't. Stubborn, yes. Sassy, definitely. Cocky? Probably. Mean? Never. She grinned, "inside you're screaming." I licked my lips - which had formed a smirk, "he wishes." George scoffed. He was clearly irritated, and I was confused, but I liked it. Attention was something I did like, but I didn't fish for it; if it came to me, I'd play on it. As a child, when my father left to join the death eaters, I didn't get much. Mum needed to work extra hard - father refused to support me. She'd drop me off at the Weasley's house to play with Fred and George at 9am, and then pick me up at 8pm. By that time, I had to go to bed as soon as we got home. "I better go see Cho." "Emphasising her name isn't going to get her to let you date Cedric, Zy!" Hermione laughed. "I know that we're close, and I love her so much, I really do... it's just... I really love him." Hermione nodded, reading her copy of Fantastical Beasts and Where To Find Them. "What do you think, Georgie?" I smiled, waiting excitedly for his response. He swallowed his croissant and shrugged. I grinned, standing up and fixing my hair. "Love you lots!" I trotted over to the Ravenclaw table. "Cho!" I exclaimed, hugging her from behind. She jumped up, then laughed. We both sat down. "How was your break?" I asked, twirling a strand of my hair. "Great! You?" She asked. "Good! I went on an exchange programme to Beauxbatons! It was amazing." She sipped her drink and took a deep breath. I know what she was doing - putting her serious face on. "I saw you talking with Cedric." She tried to smile. "Yes..." "What were you saying?" She gazed over at him then back at me. "Oh... just--asking about his summer." I fake smiled. She always did this when I spoke to him, and it irritated me so much. "He's staring at the back of your head." She gulped and tried to giggle. "Hah," I felt awkward, "so, did you hear about the Triwiz-" "I think you should go, Zynthiaria." I let out a shocked, weird noise."Pardon?" "Please." Quickly, I stood up and frowned. "Do what you want. Go for him, I don't care." She turned to her Ravenclaw friends. Obviously she did care. But, truthfully, I didn't. Five full years I watched from a distance, looking but not touching. But I couldn't wait any longer. I need him. (Quick AN, obviously these gifs are modern but I just want to show you Zynthie's face claim *my gorgeous Gigi* and also the facial expressions. Okay baiii! ;~;)
